Remarks

I wont say its gr8 or bad. its a good college with good fascility like bus service , food court , library, play area etc

Entrance Preview

Have appeared OJEE entrance examination . Based on the all india ranking we are called for admission process. Need to have a gr8 rank we can easily get seats

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculam were good as all over Orissa the syllabus is regulated by Biju Pattanaik University of technology. courses offered were really good and up to par with IIt colleges. One can choose their own branch and no optional courses available. Its divided according to the branches

Internships Opportunities

i guess it does provide any internship for B.tech passout as junior lecturers. normally they used to provide 15000/- as stipend . Many of my friends joined as interns and worked as lecturers.

Placement Experience

1.5

I must say placement are poor and is continuing I guess. we got some small consultancies which were really bad. This was for name shake I would say. But along with we also got some off-campus which helped a lot for many students. Like going to other colleges where reputed MNCs came for on-campus

College Events

2

I remmber we used to have annual day celebration along with freshers welcoome party. Hardly we used to have two. Folks from differenct colleges also some times participate for dancing and singing based on the talent. Also we used to invite popular singers from the state. tough we used to pay a little ans ollege used to bear more than 50%

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a private college the fee structure was not regulated by the central university. Being a private and a new college the fee structure was just ok that time. I have paid per yesr aroung 40000/- for four years. But now I guess the fees are reduced looking to the demand chain

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont think there was any scholarship plan was there. And loan was available from the nearest bank based purely on the father's property in the name of educational loan. I have taken loan from Andhrabank with a rate of interest of 12% in the year 2003 .

Campus Life

3

Campus life was good. teachers were good. we have a good small library with . Also basket ball and shuttle court associated. We have almost all the labs in place like mechanical, electrical, electronics, chemistry, physics, signal processing, engineering drawing etc

Hostel Facilities

3

There were no boys hostel . And the college is out side the city center There is a girls hostel limited seats only. But as the college is new and most of the students came from the city center so hostel was not required inside or near to college campus

Alumni/Alumna

we have a small allumny network . yes seniors were also helpful . But till now we never able to celebrate the alumni since pass out. so no much idea about it .

Exam Structure

Exam structure is like every year we have quarterly exams and every 6 moths we have semesters. so total of 8 semesters along with lab tests and viva. Exams were really tough looking to the vast course provided in the syllabus. Teachers were also very strict during exams also during college hours

Admission

Once all india rank declared by OJEE , based on the rank people are invited for college selection and admission. This is purely based on the availability of the seats during that time for the particular branch. No need to procure any form and apply all admission process controlled by BPUT

Faculty

3

faculties were really very good during my tenure 2003- 2007 . Most of the faculties were new and college passouts. All we have really well experienced guest faculties from other colleges. Teach wise I must say its a very good college and with good faculties

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
