Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opted for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering course because it was a booming field at that time and I had a good connection with it. The faculty members and my HOD were so supportive and always ready to clear any doubts at any point in time. All the faculty members were well qualified in their respective studies and expertise in every manner possible. Their teaching method was excellent and crisp clear with down to earth understanding. The term and semester exams were always on due time and appropriately made with very strict regulations on any malpractice. It was quite exciting and thrilling to appear for the exams and initially, it felt hard to pass the papers but eventually, it was all good.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Wipro IT along with Santhus Technologies were two tech companies with vast scope for any application profile and with good packages and stipends. The projects ranged from a small area to large sophisticated projects involving thorough knowledge of computer applications.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement drives were available from the 3rd year onwards for every meritorious student who was willing to give his full effort to qualify for joining. The students who do not have any back paper in the previous or current semester were eligible to sit for campus placements. Many top IT and core companies visited for campus drives like wipro, canthus, I ball, Vedant aluminium and BHEL. The package structure was very handsome ranging from 6.0lacs per annum. Many students got placed in different fields and got good offers. On average around 60-70% of students were already placed before their final year. I had my mind set clear that I have to work hard and make my skills and goals high for the excellence of my company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure overall was affordable and quite economical for all sorts of students and I personally never saw any kind of hike in the fees. There was a scholarship for Industrial training in the final year with complete financial assistance from the college's official board and its related banking partners. I got a placement in wipro campus drive in my final year and my monthly stipend was Rs8000 which I think was pretty much for a beginner.

Campus Life

4

The best thing about the college is its advanced library and its vast collection of books and journals for every field of study. The classroom was equipped with pure drinking water, proper sanitisation and cleaning. Sports day every year was conducted and it was a delight for every participant who took part in any sporting event. Also every six months there were many other kinds of competitions used to be held like quiz competitions, tech fest and environment tasks.

Admission

The admission process was as simple and smooth with full support from staff and officials. They also provided refreshments to the students and their parents who came from a long way from town for their joining formalities.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
