A doctor's review

I Choose MBBS because it is the only thing that I want to do in my life. The feeling that you get when you are capable to have some positive impact on someone's life is just unimaginable. MBBS has 19 departments with each department having HOD, Associate professor, Assistant professor, and many tutors Each faculty member is a master of his own field with having MS/MD(specialty course) degree. Term Exams happen every 3 months and constitute internal marks and Professional exams are the finals exam that happens in the last which form the external parts. Each subject has a theory and practical exams. MBBS is a difficult course but it mainly depends on a person-to-person basis some subjects are easy and some are hard.

Every medical college has an attached hospital with it . SN District hospital firozabad comes under our college so we have to complete our internship there with a stipend of Rs 12000/month. Each student have to attend posting in every department like Emergency, orthopedics, surgery , medicine , Obs&Gynae, Ent , optha , Pediatrics and others for nearly one month.

5th year every student gets an internship in the hospital, But after completing your degree each doctor has a job in hand in govt hospital for 2 years with 12 lac package as per bond. 100% of doctor gets a job after completing their MBBS degree. My plans are to go for PG in MD medicine. The perk of being a doctor is that during PG Course you are paid a minimum of 1 lac per month till u completed ur PG.

Mbbs fees in UP govt colleges are minimal. 1st year fees - Rs 24000- 36000 /yr(depend on the category). Rest years fees -Rs 16000-24000/yr, Hostel fees - 400/month or 48000/yr, Every year student scholarships are given by the government on the basis of a student's financial background.

Fests happen during Feb which include various activities like dancing, acting, skit, and games. All the books are available in the library ( fully air-conditioned) which is important for the studies. The classroom or Lecture Theatre is fully airconditioned and spacious with the availability of a whiteboard, blackboard, and projector. Sports available - Football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and other sports.

Eligibility criteria - Student must have done his 12th class with Science Stream ( Biology is mandatory). The NEET Application form is available on NTA Site. Application form fees ~ Rs 2000, Application dates - Feb to March, Reservation policy is as according to the UP Govt (SC-15%, ST-7.5%, OBC-27% , EWS-10%,) The admission process is fast but still, there is a chance of improvement during the admission process.
