Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course for my future ambition. The strength of our class was nearly 70. The teachers here are good and they were selected through the exam. The semester exam was always timely. But the syllabus was always incomplete. The course was not that hard to pass
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was nearly 25000 per semester. The Jharkhand government provide scholarship. There is no stipend or campus placement for the course I opted for. The name of the scholarship provided by the government is Ekalya.
Campus Life
The annual fest named Xavier Fest was conducted every year in the month of February. The library was quite good to study. There was the availability of newspapers but it seems like they don't hold many copies of books. The college has a good reputation in sports. The tournament was organised for basketball, volleyball, football, and badminton. In spite of this, there is a sports day. There were various groups such as NSS, NCC and other clubs also like RRC. There are some Instagram pages run by students such as Legends of Xavier, glimpses of Xavier and Confession pages also.
Admission
Talking about eligibility of course you must have an aggregate 50 percent in the subject you opted for. The application form can be filled out through the official website of the St Xavier College Ranchi which is sxcran.org. The fee I paid for the application form was 700 Rs. The application form can be filled soon results are out. The next step in the admission process is the entrance exam. St Xavier's College is one of the best colleges in Jharkhand so there are many students for the entrance not only from Jharkhand but also from neighboring states. Before the lockdown, you should line up for admission fee payment. But now everything goes online. After fee payment physical verification for documents is done. There is a reservation for St sc students. There is a decline in the credibility of colleges as they lost their autonomous degree. In our history department, there is a vacant post for a teacher post resulting in an incomplete syllabus.
