NIT Manipur is a good college but very far away with no railway connectivity and roads are also not very good for travelling.

I cleared GATE. I wanted to peruse Environmental engineering and i was allotted NIT Manipur in CC MT counselling

My personal opinion about M.Tech in environmental engineering from NIT Manipur is a very good option especially because of the highly qualified and supportive faculty in the department.The environmental and water resource engineering have some of the latest technology fir research work.

OGURI is a student-organized cultural and technical festival at NITM that was first organised in 2013. It includes many events including Mr. and Ms. Ougri, five-a-side soccer, quiz, solo dance, painting, programming and debugging, a robotics competition and rock concerts. Students from all over the country participate.

Fee structure on NIT Manipur is feasible as it is a Govt. Institute it offers fee wavier for students- -100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students. -Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General & OBC students whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum. -Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General & OBC students whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum.

Campus life is average , the gender ratio is low but NIT Manipur have students from all parts of India. There is a sports fest organised every year in which very one can participate and showcase their talent. It is a 3 day fest organised by the students itself includes indoor outdoor games.

The hostel fee is very much feasible as Manipur receives lots of rain throughout the year sometimes minor flooding occurs. the hostel rooms are on sharing basis. The hostel mess food is average quality. Almost every student is residing in hostel only not many PG are available nearby.

I am perusing M.Tech from NIT Manipur environmental and water resource branch it is only the second batch of our's so i dont know much about the alumni network.

The semester consist of 3 Unit test of 20 marks each average of all the three test is taken one Mid term exam of 30 marks and one End term exam of 50 marks all the marks are added for final evaluation There will be one Lab exams in the semester. the exams as you can see are very frequent but it only helps the student in better preparations.

Admission for M.Tech program is on the basis of GATE exam after which one have to attend CCMT counselling and based on your GATE score and branch,college preference seat is allotted. Once the seat is allotted you can check CCMT website the college which you have been allotted you can check that college website for reporting date,fee structure,documents required after providing all the documents at the time of reporting your admission will be confirmed.

Faculty of civil department of NIT Manipur are very highly qualified having vast knowledge and experience in their respective fields. All the faculties and especially Head of Civil engineering department Dr. P. Albino Kumar is a very helpful person. Most of the faculties of our department have been assigned projects from Govt. of India.
