Course Curriculum Overview

3

For those of us who want to be a doctor, MBBS is a must. The faculties are decent in my college and are apt in number. They try to help you in every possible way. Exams are also conducted timely. You have to give two semesters per year and then there is one university exam after every year which is conducted by the university.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is a mandatory internship of one year at the hospital after the course completion which takes 4 and a half years. Stipend is provided by the Bihar government of 20000INR per month which I think is decent enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are decent. They charge you 15000-20000 per year (hostel fees included). Scholarships and educational loans are also given by the state government to the concerned student. There is a 1 year of mandatory internship in which you get a stipend of 20000 monthly.

Campus Life

3.5

Saraswati puja and UMANG are the two big fests that occur in our college. UMANG is more of a sports event where different houses participate and compete against each other. The library is decent. It has a capacity of 200 people. You can hire any book you want for as long as you want. Our college also has a Facebook group which is run by students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are decent. Depending on the size you may get a single room or a shared room(up to 4 people). The meal is also good. You can change the cook if you want. They may charge you 45-55 INR / meal. Registration for the hostel occurs at the time of admission itself.

Admission

I got admission through NEET. You can give it after 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology stream. You should at least score 60% in your 12th. Reservations are there for obc, sc, st, and females. There is a defense quota also. After NEET if you scored above the cutoff, you can take admission either through the India quota or through the state quota(if you hail from Bihar).

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
