Entrance Preview
AMU conducts its own test of 150 marks. I opted for it because it's a central university with a very low fee structure.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical branch and the course structure is quite good. The syllabus design is good enough to crack any competitive exam and the faculty is also very well qualified. The infrastructure is good and the labs are very well equipped with machines.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, it provides internships. The college has a tie-up with internshala.com and there is training placement office which works continuously to help you in internship programmes. I got some experience in NTPC. There you are able to do your work experience, management of time and skipping all bad habits through the internship.Stipend depends on the company in which you are applying for.
College Events
Events and fest are very common in the university premises, here all kind of cultural and social and religious events held in a very good and quite well way. And there are also very technical events held on the campus, and students participate in them and show their talent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is very feasible because it is a government university, it costs about 8k per year. And it is not so much by comparing to other institutions like this. Also, it's and you have to pay the fee in the form of demand draft, in the name of ZHCET AMU, Payable at Aligarh.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are several scholarships that a student can avail like Central Minority Scholarship, State Minority Scholarship, Sultan Jahan, and many more. And there are several merit-based scholarships which you can avail if you can crack the exam or interview.
Hostel Facilities
There are hostels for each course students, it is in the university premises not attached with the college. It is at a distance of 400-500 m from the college. Hostels have about 200 large rooms.Some are single seated, double seated and quadrant seated And the hostel is lush green and Eco-friendly. Food quality is very good and hygienic at a very low cost.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful, they teach us as we are there younger brothers/sisters. Not any type of misbehave by seniors and we get knowledge by them. And alumni are also very grateful to us, They reach us every time when we need them or on annual convocation and gives us knowledge. I had very good experience with my seniors and alumni.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is the semester based. And there are also practical and fir the practicals there are very good and well-equipped laboratories for the students to study not only theoretical also practicals based also. There 6 subjects in each semester. And there are also exams in the middle of the semester (mid sem) and the semester structure is quite good it doesn't give burden of studies to students.
Admission
I have completed Diploma In Engineering from this university and stood the topper of the branch.So, I got admission in it as there are few seats reserved for the toppers of Diploma In Engineering but the majority of the seats are filled by the entrance test only.
Faculty
The faculty is very highly educated and very good very helpful and careful. They teach everything in a very good way, they never let you think that you are in government campus, it feels like a private institution. And there is very good extra curriculum, which makes you very good in each and every field. It is only the teaching staff that helps you a lot. I love my teaching staff a lot.
