Remarks

College management is probably the relatives of the owner of the college. All have a typical accent which suggests they come from the same place. People who are working here don't want themselves or this college to grow in its time and work very lethargically. Faculty doesn't upgrades the knowledge of the students with the upcoming technology in the world related to the engineering course that we are doing. they are still teaching the 1980s engineering standards. the world has moved ages out of that is what needs to be told to the management and faculty.

Entrance Preview

CET exam 2004. There was a common admission process basis your CET score and PCM score in HSC accordingly merit list was released and your preferences of colleges were considered for the courses that you have opted. We had a choice of 45 options. I had prefered Mech or Prod and got through this process in this college. It was a B ranked college as per the Brochure given by Mumbai University hence opted for this as we couldn't afford the Donation procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Faculty was very weak. Infrastructure wise half of the college was under construction. 4 out of 6 days there was a power cut-off for minimum 4-5 hours. There was no practical exposure to the subjects and special topics which was directly affecting in the understanding of the subject and courses.

Internships Opportunities

There was only one company which reached out to our college. It was Godrej during that time. Providing a stipend of Rs. 8000 per month. For internship we had to go door to door of all companies and had to do our internship without any stipend.

Placement Experience

1

It was only Godrej who placed 2-3 of the students basis the merit and performance in their internship. Other than Godrej there wasn't any company nor the management is bothered to get companies in for placements purpose. Currently I am not sure if Godrej also comes to this college for campus placements.

College Events

3

Yearly one event was only the talk of the college. Every Dept used to handle their own event and find finance to run the event. Different colleges were invited in Robo car races, LAN gamings, Extempores group discussions and prizes were given off basis the merits. Cultural shows and gatherings entertainment events were also part of these programs

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee structure was feasible. we were charged around Rs. 40000 - 50000 per year. however this was already in my budget. they even had scholarship coverage for high scoring students which was covering 80-100% of the fees. other than college fees we had examination fees, tuition fees and stationary fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship facility but yes the college has scholarships which can be availed on inquiry. as far as my knowledge goes its basis the merit scoring in exams.

Campus Life

Hostel Facilities

2.5

there was no hostel provision in this college. Mess food was not available. there was a canteen run by some local people. they did not have a proper kitchen facility just a basement of the building converted into canteen just like a typical college canteen. charges were affordable and they had a good range of food items.

Alumni/Alumna

No network of alumni or senior students. you are on your own once you step out of the college. Your group of friends with whom you studied and finished your college are only your supporters. Rest no contact with seniors or any alumni functions none is taken care by the management.

Exam Structure

Exams used to happen timely and labs were also available. However Labs infrastructure and equipment availability for practicals was very negligible. lab assistants were also very dull and low on IQ. very few faculty could actually take you through proper experiments to make you understand the topics

Admission

Through Common Admission Procedure (CAP) university alloted me this college as per my merit and choices of preference list. I had prefered Mech or Prod and got through this process in this college. It was a B ranked college as per the Brochure given by Mumbai University hence opted for this as we couldn't afford the Donation procedure.

Faculty

1.5

Faculty was very weak. They lack the basic knowledge on teaching the subjects. Very few were there who could actually get in to deep dive and solve the personal doubts that a student raised. The faculty was weak, Office functioning was weak and lethargic and Principal had very little or no control on all of these things.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
