Likes
- The campus is very well infrastructured, clean and good washrooms, water facility on every floor of the building, etc.
- The campus is placed near the panvel railway station so it was easy to travel.
- Good and coordinating staff's and faculty members.
Dislikes
- There was no proper parking for the vehicles. It was very difficult for me to take my scooter out of that group of vehicles.
- Expected course or extra classes was not offered by the faculty.
- There was no particular group projects each year.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was very much interested in computers, programs, and how things work so I chose Computer Science. The faculty is good as there are 45 to 50 students per class. Many of the Faculty professors have done Ph.D. as well so no worries. There was a total of 6 semesters and each semester had 1 unit exam and 1-semester exam.
Internships Opportunities
TCS provided a paid course. Once after they complete the course there will be a exam in which the student will be filtered for the internship and later on if the student perform well in the internship they also provide a permanent offer letter to that particular student in TCS.
Placement Experience
Many companies visit our college for placements. They offer around 15k - 30k starting for freshers. Famous companies visited like TCS, Wipro, etc. and also TCS offered a paid course that provides an internship program as well. One of our teachers told that the highest package till now is 3.8 lakhs per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was average for a degree college and the college also provides placements as well, but I didn't go for it as I was having future plans (government exam preparation). They increased by 2k - 3k per year. First-year fees were around 34k and in the third year the fees were almost 39k.
Campus Life
A huge event is conducted every year called Alegria in which so many events are held and many stars visit. It takes place at our college campus itself for 7 days in the month of December. The library is good, silent and they maintain properly with good books and journals but once I didn't find the book that I needed.
Admission
The admission process to the college was easy. I didn't attempt any entrance exam to get admission, I just carried my 12th mark sheet and a few identity proofs while taking admission. Eligibility of the course was just how much interest you have in that course. The application form will be provided once you visit the college office.
