Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Tech is a highly techno-professional course. The only thing that attracted me was the subject- Computer Science. It gives endless opportunities to each person around. Making it one of the most loved streams in the engineering field. People say one needs to become an engineer before studying engineering and our college succeeds in the same. There is a fair faculty-to-student ratio(1:15) because our college is relatively new. The faculty here has a PhD degree (minimum), making the knowledge level touch the extremes. The teaching method is simple and easy to understand through the use of smart boards, practical labs etc. We have a large campus and UID- the design college is also a part of our campus hence we get a chance to use and understand practical stuff at the workshops. Examinations here are conducted every 2.5-3 months wherein there are 2 examinations per semester- mid-semesters and end semesters which improves the efficiency of students. Overall you may bet on this college for sure.

Fees and Financial Aid

In total, 2 instalments of 42000/- per semester are charged for the BTech programme currently and as the college is new, there are no particular fee hikes seen. There are other fees also like the transport fees, activity fees, mess fees etc which are optional. Students studying in any year of the university are eligible to get an on-campus internship for 5000/- per month or more. This is offered by the UNIVATION dept. In comparison to what we pay, we get a lot more in return! Events, mentorships, seminars and a lot of experience and knowledge. If a student has aced in the ACPC portal for admission he/she is eligible for a scholarship seat in the college.

Campus Life

5

Our campus is one of the most underrated campuses in Gujarat. Beautiful infrastructure with greenery. This university is a paradise for social animals like me. The university campus consists of different colleges ranging from Liberal arts to Dentistry to law to computers to design etc. Nobody is restricted from entering a particular college for knowledge. There are events held almost every month to keep the students active and happy. These events are mostly on a moderate to large scale depending on the type of event. Students get an opportunity to interact with masters from a wide range of fields and the energy felt during events is just impeccable! Our college has hosted some of the biggest concerts, some of the biggest tech fests, and some of the biggest big things that one could ask for! You won't feel the stress of studying at our college instead you would learn by doing things! A practical approach is the ultimate USP of our university! I'm overwhelmed to be a part of the university.

Admission

The eligibility criteria are as follows Should have passed class 12 or equivalent with a score of more than 60% in the Science stream. There are 4-5 major ways using which you can enter our college. 1. Using JEE scores 2. By appearing for KUAT(Karnavati University Admission test) 3. Direct admission based on board result (For BSc.) 4. NRI Sponsored seats. 5. ACPC The KUAT is a yearly examination which is often taken in the month prior to class 12 Board examinations but the schedule may vary if the institute wishes. All the related information is available on the Karnavati University website or offline (on campus). The basic reservations are still present like the SC/ST/OBC Quota, NRI Quota, etc. about which the applicant would be informed prior to admission. Overall it is a decent college to get into, considering the age of USCI. The only improvement required is that the confirmation mail/letter must be sent as soon as possible so that the applicant gets a clear picture.

Interview Experience

4

There was a PI before I joined the college. The topic was more or less related to the computer science and engineering field but there were certain questions about my knowledge from classes 11 and 12. One of their professors were the interviewer and very keenly he explained what was correct and what was not. I had completed my class 12 boards in June and the PI was very close so they were sure to ask about the board examinations. I had just taken a rough look into the subjects- PCM and computers that I studied after class 10th. For people taking admission through KUAT, they have a slightly complex process but not a difficulty at all.

Other Applied Colleges

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

B.Tech was a wise choice considering my capabilities.

I am in my 7th semester and I was asked to apply. After beging rejected from two I was still provided the opportunity and in 4th attempt I finally made it. Likewise every student is provided ample chances and mostly in penultimate semester around 70% students are placed. Rest all get one final chance in the massive placements activity in the final semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am of ece branch and i believe the faculty of ece is fab. They are experienced and mojority of them have good skills of teaching. They will prepares us good for real world app as they are exprienced. Talking about the frequency and timing kind of after 2 months we have are mid semester then after 2 or 3 months we have our end semesters. Before these each these examinations we have are small quizzes of 10 marks and these are conducted 2 weeks before these big exams. Difficulty of exam depends on the subject it is. Say it is maths and physics you can assume it to be at a good level but some subjects are easy also and their exam level is kind of moderate.
