Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It was a dream to become a doctor since childhood so I prepared for NEET. The course curriculum is a little hectic, the ratio of faculty and student is good in my college, they are all qualified doctors, we have our exams in the form of 2 semesters, then pre University and the final University exam.

Internships Opportunities

3

After our 4.5 years of studying in medical college, we get to do an internship for a period of one year. There we get a stipend. After our internship, we get the degree and now we can apply as a doctor in government or private hospitals.

Fees and Financial Aid

In comparison to the rest of the Bihar government medical colleges, the fees of IGIMS, and Patna is very high, this is the only drawback of this college otherwise this is the best college in my state. We don't know about any scholarships, after the final year our internship will be there in which we will be stipend.

Campus Life

2.5

Fest is conducted on regular basis to break the boredom life of medicos. We have a very good library which has all the books, the classrooms are well furnished, we have a football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, gym as well as facilities for indoor games. IMA MSN and NMO Bihar are social groups run by our students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We have two as well as three seater room in boys hostel, the rooms are okay. The mess is awesome, we get very tasty food. We have to fill out the form to get the hostel allotment, I have not been allotted a hostel so I live in a pg near my college.

Admission

It was all okay. I qualified for NEET 2021 with 633 marks to get admission to the MBBS course of IGIMS, Patna. First, we have to fill out the application form released by NTA, before the exam admit card is released which we have to take with us in the exam hall, the cut-off is a minimum of 600+ for general/OBC to get admission in the MBBS course.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
