Course Curriculum Overview
Since I am a prodigy of the ICSE/ISC curriculum of the Indian study system, so, since class 9th I had JAVA programming language in my computer science syllabus which was continued till class 12th. I loved building logic and solving complex programming questions during the process of learning. So, I decided to take my knowledge and skills to an upgraded level which I could have done by getting admitted to B.tech. course in computer science branch only. Talking about the faculty-student ratio is approximately 6:1, which means 6 students per teacher which is, in my opinion, a great ratio without making the interaction between teachers and students messy and unfruitful. Almost all the teachers are P.hd. holders in their working fields. Coming from IITs, they hold a robust grip over the subject of their interest and teaching. The term exams were on time although the semester started late because of delayed JEE. They were somewhat onerous but not out of the vicinity of what the teacher taught in the class.
Placement Experience
From the start of the second semester of the third year, students are allowed to sit in the campus placements. According to their branches and CGPAs, they can get through the placements if they are prepared. A number of companies visit the campus which is sufficient for the crowd mentioning some names like Accenture, KPMG, Cape Gemini, Delloite and other well-known names. There were 230 offers made by the companies for over 300 students. The highest package offered was offered by Delloite of 18 lacs lpa and the average hiked to 7 to 8 lacs lpa. Approx 92% of the students got placement last year including internships at prominent MNCs. My plan is to flourish in the college term, doing internships at different companies, gaining experiences, extra skills and certifications for a stone-hard CV to get a final high-paying job in the last year of my college at some reputed IT company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the course is pretty affordable and reasonable. As anybody can afford to study in this glorious college if he/she has saved some bucks in his/her life. The college is actually supportive in terms of financial assistance as it provides scholarship opportunities to meritorious students, considering their intermediate results and on-campus performance in semester exams held during the course. The college has tied up with some of the recognized banks to provide students with education loans without facing any obstacles during the admission process and their study term. If u are scoring above 85% in your intermediate level, then you are awarded some amount of fee waiver, with an increase in your percentage accordingly. Then, in future, it depends on your semester CGPAs. The college offers some jobs to students with stipends. Jobs include handling the official pages of the college on different social media platforms, blogging for the college, becoming a college ambassador etc.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is pretty fabulous as you are surrounded by natural elements all the time. The lush green campus provides you with a soothing atmosphere driving you towards calmness and stillness. There is a fest organized by the college named 'IGNITE' which provides students to expose their technical skills in front of other colleges invited to participation. It includes different competitions like drone races with some amount of cash prizes for the winners and runner-ups. Discussing the library is well-equipped with distinct books and journals of national and international authors supplying students with richness in knowledge. The classrooms are well-furnished with ACs and projectors and with a huge blackboard to facilitate students. Every week a club activity is organized with different actions for the welfare of the students which is programmed by different clubs managed by college students. Forex: CODING MANIA is organized by the coding club of our college open to everyone.
Hostel Facilities
Since I wanted a private room for my accommodation on the college campus only so I opted for the single-room hostel. The infrastructure of the hostel is in such a way that it has single common lobbies consisting of two or three personal rooms with common washrooms. The lobby consists of a fan and a sink with an attached platform to keep household things like a kitchen in our houses. The rooms are well-furnished, dispensing you with a study table and a chair, a bed with a mattress, double-door almirahs and a cupboard on the side of your bed. The room facilitates you with the air conditioner working automatically at fixed timings. The food in the mess is served 4 times a day. Starting the day with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and finally dinner at the end. You are served different varieties of food at the price of Rs4200/month which is not included in the hostel fee. Although a number of PGs are available around the campus I preferred to opt for the in-campus hostel to enjoy.
Admission
The admission process was really straightforward and based on the merit regarding your class 12th percentage or CGPA. Talking about what was the process that I followed, as I had information about the college so I just went to the official webpage of the college where I found an 'APPLY' tab which on processing, opened an application form for me asking for my personal details first. Then, it asked me to fill up the details of my academics for classes 10th and 12th. Gaining 89.6% in class 12th, I was eligible to apply for the B.tech. course in this prestigious college. All the other important details regarding the application fee, college fee, and hostel fee were available on the page and I also got them in my personal g mail that came from the college itself after applying and satisfying the eligibility criteria. As I fall in the general category of the caste system so no benefits were given but as I scored a good score in class 12th, so I achieved a 40% waiver in my academic fee to the college.
