Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I always wanted to be a teacher so this was the best option for me. And Thankfully I managed to get a seat here. Here the Ratio of Teacher- Student is quite good. It's 1:55 for 1st 2 years then it's 1:18 for the next 2 years. The Teachers here are really well qualified. Almost every one of them has done something great in their fields. Our Senior Professors like S K. Dash sir also have great contributions to NCERT books. Teachers being such famous and holding such high posts have both +ve and -ve sides. SuchTeachers sometimes fail to give us the time we require. Exams are not that difficult here. The course is well designed I must say. But the timings of the exams are not that up to mark. The session is running late currently so the college is just trying to take the exams really soon resulting in making the syllabus run, and finishing a semester in 3-4 months

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Here we are send to Internship for a Tenure of 4 months. Students are sent to different JNVs of their choice, and they got to Teach their for a Tenure of 4 months. Professors in between go and evaluate the Student Teacher. Unfortunately, no stipend is provided for the internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

Here we get campus placement in the 8th semester. Many Schools from different places come to our Colleges like Delhi Public school, and Sainik schools. You also get a great preference for any Teaching job, be it Temporary or Permanent. RIE students are always given the 1st preference when it comes to becoming a Teacher. You can easily get a job after studying at RIE.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a very affordable Course. You got to pay 15000/ for a whole year. In addition, if you belong to a reserved category you just got to pay half the money. The college also provides a scholarship of up to 100% depending on the family income. But ya you got to pay the Mess fees, and there is no relaxation in that. Also, you can easily get campus placement up to Rs 30-40k per month.

Campus Life

4

Life at the campus is really cool. Here inside we have 3 girls Hostel and a Boys Hostel. We go to each other's hostels on Festivals. And talking about co-Curricular, I must really appreciate the course designer. They have given equal importance to Extra Curricular activities. We have a Cultural fest, Annual Athletic Meet, and Annual Sports, where different teams of every year compete to make their House the Winner. Every house has its unique Jersey which is a really exciting thing.

Admission

Must have passed class 12 from any stream. Students who have passed +2 from the science stream can also opt for Ba BEd. Application forms, fees, and application dates can all be got from the official website of RIE CEE. Seats are reserved for Sc, St , Obc , Ews, and PH students. They also get a deduction in fees. The admission process is very smooth. After the general Scorecard is out, merit lists from respective RIEs start coming out. And then you got to report for counseling accordingly. The admission process is really smooth, but it would be great if they could make it a little faster.

Other Applied Colleges

Tezpur University - [TU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] + Bachelor of Education [B.Ed.] (Mathematics)

I got seat in RIE Bhubaneswar which was a much better option as it is considered to be the best institute to be a Teacher in India .
