Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was really interested in Computer Engineering and this university was among one of the best universities. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:20. Faculty is well qualified and the teaching method is great. Term exams are held every month and they aren't tough at all if you pay attention to the lectures.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Casio, Brittania, and TCS provided internships for our students with an average package of 1.2lpa and the highest package of 3lpa. The higher the knowledge the student has, the higher the package.

Placement Experience

Placements from our college are pretty decent with an average package of around 5lpa and the highest package last year was around 1.2cr per annum provided by Amazon (Germany). My plans after getting the degree are to higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is 2.25 LPA for three years and then 3.5 LPA for the last three years. Internships are available for second and fourth-year students. These internships are on-campus internships with an average package of 2lpa.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is pretty amazing and there are a lot of fests and tech fests throughout the year where students can participate and win exciting prizes and scholarships as well. There is a huge variety of books in the library. Rotaract Club exists in the college.

Admission

Eligibility Criteria during 2020 admissions were 70% in all Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. All the forms can be found on the official website of NMIMS which is nmims.edu. The website has a good User Interface which makes it easy for everyone to understand.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.
