Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I wanted to be a mechanical engineer in the future and most importantly I didn't secure enough percentile to get a seat in our college for the bachelor's degree. the faculty-student ratio is 1:20 and most faculties are enough qualified to teach us in the right way ...the exams are conducted from time to time and it was very easy to pass those.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements after completion of the 5th semester..the companies which offered us placements are Hindalco jsw Aditya Birla Jindal and some local private companies. the highest package of our branch is 400000 per year and the lowest one is 250000. percentage of students getting placement is 50%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is normal our college just charges 4000 for each student pursuing a diploma ..so, to be honest, we don't need any financial assistance as it is as equal to studying fully free of cost ..yes college doesn't provide us with internships but helps us in reaching out the companies which can provide us internships...

Campus Life

College life is very good and for a day scholar like me, it is more like school life. Yes it conducts an annual fest every year and a technology fest once in 2-3 years for sure ...and also every branch of different degrees are allowed to perform its own fests most years ...all types of books and journals are available in the library which is required for our studies... The classrooms are not that good but at least we have classrooms..sports and other activities are also upto mark we have clubs like photography robotic dance music social service etc etc

Admission

The admission procedure is quite good and simple. we get admission to our college on the basis of 10th board marks only and no other criteria are required for it ...the cut off of our college is likely to be just pass as our course have some vacant seat always so if you have passed 10th then you can get admission in it ...

The view about the college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester and 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. The name of company are JSW , IMFA , ADITYA BIRLA , JSL etc company are visited. The highest package is 25,000 thousand and avarage package is 12,000 thousand per company. My plans after getting the degree is preparing the junior mining inspector.

I love my college

Placement Experience:

does not have proper playground for outdoor games ,except this it has all the necessary facilities. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries ans sports arena are all air conditioned and well maintained. The quality of placements at our college is not so good. The percentage of students placed every year is quite less. The salary package offered to bcom graduates were not so good. In recent time due covid 19 we were unable to attend the placement cell.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. So i applied for VSSUT,Burla and OUTR,Bhubaneswar and many more colleges. But i got this college (Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology , Dhenkanal) as according to my JEE main rank.
