My FORE experience

I am currently pursuing PGDM (Big Data Analytics). Since FSM offers dual specialisation, I opted for this course with marketing as my second specialisation. The faculty is highly qualified and they give their best to ensure that the students are familiar with all the required concepts. The course curriculum is also good, it includes all the concepts of widely used topics. Moreover, we have exams after every 1.5 months. FSM has trimesters, so in one term there is a mid-term and one end-term for each trimester.

The companies start the recruitment for Summer Internship Placement at the end of 1st trimester. Various renowned companies like EY, ITC, Gartner, Deloitte, etc come at the campus. Completion of SIP is important to complete the credits.

The average placement of FSM is around 1400000 to 1500000, which is pretty decent. Companies start recruiting in 4-5 trimesters. FSM offers 100% placement except for students who opt out of the placement process.

The fee for 2 years is 1698000, which is to be paid in 4 instalments of Rs. 424500. The college provides multiple scholarships which can be checked on the official website. Also, certain students from each course who score more than 9 cgpa get scholarships as well.

Life on campus is very busy yet fulfilling. The annual fest organised by Team Nexus is called GENESIS which takes place in November. Being a part of Team Nexus, I can surely say that those 2 days are the best time of the whole college journey. Being a part of any committee is exciting for that matter. There are around 26 committees run by students. Students are free to get any book issued from the library.

I appeared for various entrance exams like CAT, XAT, IIFT and NMAT. FORE take admissions on the basis of both CAT and XAT scores with cutoffs around the 85 percentile. Application forms can be found on the official website of FSM and can be filled out as per the dates released by the college. Usually, the first round happens on December 2nd week and the second begins in January after cat results are announced. FSM offers 4 courses and the application fee for each is separate. However, if an applicant wishes to fill out multiple courses in one form, they get a certain discount.

Since covid was at its peak at my time, there was no GD. However, I had a personal interview with 3-4 faculty members followed by a business quiz where 3 questions are asked about recent or general business aptitude. The interview usually consists of previous experience or any subject of your interest. I prepared for the same with the help of YouTube.
