Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are always timely. The college follows semester-wise examinations. Every year there are 2-semester exams. For the MCA 2Y course, there are a total of four-semester examinations which are conducted through AKTU University. Exams are never held on our college campus, instead, the university sends a schedule stating a different center for examination, which in my view is a good way to stop students from using any unfair means. Apart from this, there are 2 sessional tests conducted every semester (a total of 4 tests each year) which are held inside the campus to test the performance of the students. If you study hard enough and are attentive in class, it is not very hard to score good marks in examinations.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is very active under C.P. Sir and Anand Sir. Various companies visit the college for placement. The top companies were Chetu, HCL, and Utkarsh Bank. Around 60% of students got placed in good companies. The highest package offered- was around 5 lakh and the lowest was 1.5 lakhs. Students are eligible for placement from the first year itself. I myself got placed in both HCl and Chetu but did not get on board due to personal reasons. All in all, if you are good at studies, you will definitely get placed in of the companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for one year is around 70000(1 or 2k less than this), so for two years around 140000 rupees is to be paid. This fee also includes 5000 for books which are provided by the college library to every student ( You will have to return the books after every semester to get books for next semester). There is an active scholarship department inside the campus which always helps with all the paperwork. Students can apply for the UP scholarship through the up Scholarship website. It repays around 30 to 40% of the fees. Your college fees need to be completely paid for you to apply for a scholarship. This scholarship will be received in your Allahabad Bank account from where you can easily withdraw it. There were no on-campus jobs with stipends during the time I was in college.
Campus Life
Due to Covid, there was no fresher's party or farewell party for me, but the college does conduct them regularly. The students manage all these functions after taking permission from the faculty. There are various seminars, debates, and events organized inside the college auditorium throughout the year. Books related to almost every field (Bba, Bca, MBA, and Mca) are available in the library. The students can easily issue the books for a month using their library card (which they have to get from the library). The classes do have a smart board but I have never seen it working. There are a few sports events organized on campus ( mostly during November), but I have never participated in any of them. There are no social groups, clubs, or websites run by students as of now.
Admission
The admission process is pretty smooth. Students need to take the form either from the college faculty or they can fill it up online. There is an objective type offline OMR sheet-based test conducted for admission. If you score the required marks you can take admitted easily. Application form costs around 500 to 600. Also, you need to pay half of the yearly fees during admission. The fee is to be paid in Allahabad Bank inside the campus, where students are required to open a self-based account.
