Remarks
I got admission to this college through the MHT-CET exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It's an online exam based on the syllabus of 11,12th syllabus. You can find details regarding the exam on the official website. There are reservation benefits, for example for availing scholarship benefits and hostel benefits. This college has a decent percentage of placements for CS, IT department to be precise. Infrastructure is average in level. If you are looking for a CA/IT branch in a government college(fees to be economical) that can assure you placements, then this is the college. But don't expect too much from this college. The coding culture is not so good. Also, cultural activities have no grand benchmark.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's an autonomous college. The syllabus is made by the faculties of the college itself. Teachers are well qualified. As I am from the IT department, so in our department teachers prefer teaching us through PPTs. But that's not the case for every subject, some of them use green board too. We have 2 Class tests of 15 marks each and an end-semester exam of 60 marks. Passing is very easy as questions are asked from the content that has been taught to you. An important thing here is that the faculty itself designs the question paper.
Placement Experience
Only final-year students are allowed to sit for placements. There are no such internships offered by the college. From the start of the 7th semester, companies begin recruitment. Popular recruiters are TCS, Kanaka, Nvidia, Tejas networks, etc. Average packages are around 4-4.5LPA. CS/IT has a good percentage of placements than other branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
For OBC students the fee lies between 40-45 K per year. For the Open category, it goes up to 80K for a year. I was unable to get a scholarship as I did not fit the criteria. The criteria are that your family income should not exceed 8LPA. The scholarship is in the form of a refund. You'll get a refund from the authority.
Campus Life
The annual tech fest name is Wings, which is conducted in January generally. It's a National Event as stated. The annual cultural fest is Antarang which is generally conducted in February. The college has a huge library facility. The class has smart boards for teaching assistance. Sports are good. The college has a gym, badminton court, basketball court, and large ground.
Hostel Facilities
Annual fees for hostel is 1650/year.We are provided with bed,a table, chair, and LAN facility too.3 students in a room.Allotmemt in hostels is based on the overall CGPA.Hostel has about 8 seats per branch per year.It has its own mess but it's not functional as of now.
