Galgotias University : Actual Ground Report

I had keen interest in Physics, and that's why I choose Electronics and Communications Engineering from Galgotias University. Faculty: Student Ratio is 1:20, which is quite average. The faculties are highly qualified. Most of them had done their masters from IITs and NITs. The teaching method is not up to the mark. The main focus is only on the theoretical parts and not on the practical ones. Labs need more devices and more assistants. The term exams were on time and they were of Moderate level.

Many companies visit here every year for various internship opportunities, but there is sheer negligence from the Galgotias Management for the internship. The only focus is on theoretical subjects and 75% attendance.

The placement of Galgotias University is good. More than 500 companies visit here every year to offer jobs to eligible candidates. The students are eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Many students get offers from 3 and more companies. The highest package is around Rs 10,00,000 and the average package is around Rs 3,00,000. More than 90% of students get placements here.

The fees were constant during my tenure and that was Rs 1,60,000 per year. There are no scholarships or financial assistance, which is provided by the university. However, eligible students can take scholarships from the state government. Campus Placement is quite good here. 500+ companies visit here every year and nearly the whole batch gets placed. The average package is Rs 3,00,000.

Campus Life is good. There is an annual fest and many tech fests which are organized by different departments. The library is very spacious with a good number of quality books. The classroom's Infrastructure is nice but the air conditioning systems are not working. There are a lot of sports and extracurricular activities on campus to choose from.

The hostel rooms are nice but there are no attached washrooms. Meals are not up to the mark. The menu is fixed. During 2014, the meals were very unhygienic. There is no first aid facility in the hostel. The registration process is very simple, but the hostels are expensive compared to the private hostels and PGs.
