Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was highly structured. It covered all basic engineering subjects in 1st year and then followed by course specific subjects from second year onwards. There were other technical events wherein students can do technical research and present them during the events. 4th year was dedicate more from project standpoint.
Internships Opportunities
Yes , we did internship during 2nd and 3rd year of the entire tenure of 4 years. Did-not got the stipend.
Placement Experience
Almost all got placed in good companies barring few ( 2-3 out of a batch of 50) who got placed in mass recruiting companies including Infosys , Wipro , IBM etc. Many companies came to the campus including HUL , BPCL , NTPC , BHEL , IOCL , Piramal Glass , Tata Motors , Maruti , Caterpillar , Honda etc. They offered from a range of 5 to 12 L ( HUL was paying highest as 19 L CTC )
College Events
There were 4 types of events used to happen in the college. These were Technical events , Management Events , Sports Events and then Cultural Events. They were at a huge scale as the participation in all events goes upto to 100-150 colleges including both huge campuses and small campuses.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was fixed . Being a government college ( Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University) , the fee structures were not very expensive rather cheap which could be easily afforded by even a low class family. The other expenses included food which was also very cheap in the hostels.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, loan facility was there and could be availed at minimal rates as i could gather from some of my colleagues.
Campus Life
The campus life was awesome with such a wonderful campus. The gender diversity was very poor at a ration of around 1:6 or 1:7 . Looking at the overall data of Joint Entrance Exam clear ants , the ration is overall very poor. Rest other extracurriculars including sports , labs were up to the mark .
Hostel Facilities
The hotel facilities were okay ( not very hygienic ) whereas the outside greenery was wonderful. The campus was extremely beautiful. Things were not expensive including food which was also very cheap in the hostels. All were supposed to stay in hostels for which the fees was negligible.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is rarely seen.... I could listen of only 1 get together in Mumbai few days back with very less participation.
Exam Structure
The exams structure was very frequent having 2 CT's ( Class Tests ) and 1 final semester exam in a semester thus making a total of 20-24 test-days in a span of around 4.5-5 months. The labs were evenly scheduled and thus making it not so hectic. The tests / exams would certainly quality to hectic category.
Admission
Joint Entrance Exam being the topmost competitive exam attracts individuals to test themselves at the highest level of toughness. Notification was released at around 2-3 months before the examination.. Through Counselling , Went to IIT Roorkee for counselling and finally selected Mechanical as the stream
