Remarks

In my college, you should be a resident of tamilnadu and should have passed 12th standard or completed diploma. Tnea counseling is the only way to gain admission in our college. Only students of j&k are allowed outside tamilnadu. For tnea counseling 500 application fees and after your 12th results are declared you can register for tnea or whenever tnea announces date.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like mechanical engineering and i choose this college mainly because it is one of the lowest fee college in India. Roughly per year a day scholar will pay less than 5 k and for hostel monthly 2k mess bill extra. Hostel is 2k at the start of the year. Staffs are neither too less nor excess. For mechanical 1:40 is the student faculty ratio. Our college has very low intake. Our faculties are the top qualified staffs in the state. Only top rank in trb exam can land a job here. Term exams are easy.. without just regular revises and class notes you can top your whole class

Placement Experience

From 7th sem you are eligible for placements Several companies visit our campus as our college is one of the top college in the state.companies like Titan,lnt tcs cognizant, tafe , sobha construction, Siemens , Wipro, Zoho , Robert Bosch all visit our campus. Highest package is around 13lpa. Average of 5lpa is placed 60%percent are placed.everyone can get placed easily here. Higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost of the study is pretty low. At beginning you need to pay 5k. Then yearly fee is around 6k. Then hostel fee and exam fee add upto another 6k. Excluding mess fee 12-15 k per year. Mess fee additional 2k per month. Even for this there are several scholarship

Campus Life

Muthamizh vizha, department function. All take place. They do not have fixed month. A vast library of several subject books and journals are available but fiction and non fiction are not available. Facilities are average only. Sports such as cricket, volleyball, basketball, hockey,football, chess,carrom,gym,dance , table tennis, badminton etc all are available The whole college is run by students. Several clubs are run by students. Even if you feel need for any club you can start your own club

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

A detailed review on GCT Coimbatore - Most affordable college of Asia.

In the admission process i applied only for government colleges like anna university chennai, gct coimbatore, gce salem, thiagaraja college madurai like that. Because i cant afford private college, among these government colleges gct coimbatore remains my first choice and got the admission in there. The main reason of choosing this college is affordable fee structure and good placement statistics. The admission process for government colleges are purely through Counselling process, there is no management quota. Based on our 12 th mark, a cutoff for 200 marks will be calculated. In this 100 marks from maths and 50 from physics and 50 from chemistry will be accounted. Then a rank list will be released based on this cutoff mark incl all applicants, it is called general rank list. There will be other rank list like community rank list where the rank will be grouped by community such as BC, MBC, SC/ST. Every college will release a seat matrix based upon their vacancy. Student have to fill a choice list based on their interest. And based on the rank, the software will check the vacancy for seats in the choice order and finally college is alloted.
