An unforgettable Journey of 2 years

Coming to this college was a sudden decision. I had got selected to Annamalai University for the study of fishery biotechnology. Since I wanted to study Field Biotechnology and admission to all other colleges for the course got over. So, I had decided to study in SRM UNIVERSITY. I didn't write any exam. I took the direct admission procedure as my percent of graduation was above 70.

The course structure was good and advanced. I came to know many new things and had learned many terms.The lab for practical was well maintained. we had good hands-on practice for each instrument and learned many things. Even we did some tissue culture work as well at plant biotechnology lab.

I don't know about this but I guess they provide the internship but don't know anything about the stipend.

Placement and Job opportunities are too good as well. they have their proper channel for placement which intimates the student time to time about the job and company coming for placement.The maximum placement was from TCS and Wipro. Many software and pharma company used to come for placement.

Many events were used to happen in our college I don't remember much because I was not interested in those too. As far I remember only One event I used to go i.e. MILAN. it's a kind of annual program and many events were theirs inside it. like various concerts and dance program, fashion shows, road shows of many research going on the Institute and much more. It was attractive too.

The fee structure was not so expensive but a bit though.for my course it was 1 Lakh per annum which include all tuition fees. apart from there, we have to pay some examination fee of Rupee 3000/-.So totally of 2 lakh, I have paid as a tuition fee. and an extra of 20,000 u can keep for record binding and exam fee and all.

I don't know about this. I didn't get any scholarship or loan facility from Institute. But I have heard for engineering people toppers of entrance examination will get some fee waiver.

campus life was awesome and one of the good memory I am carrying and was unforgettable too. The very one more reason for unforgettable memory is the gold medal award which I got on being the university rank holder of my department. there is no such gender discrimination and even people from all places come there for their study and better future.

The hostel facilities and mess facilities were good too. Both south and north Indian food were available.The room which I stayed was of 3 sharing and the rent was 84000/- per annum. Both hot and cold drinking water facility was there. proper maintenance was also there.

All my senior were very helpful and good too. we had a nice time with them. They use to give us our notes and helps us in solving our problem.

It was not exactly hectic but was chill out I guess. The semester exam and cycle test were often only but were not tough. They used to give enough time to us to study as well as for relaxing. Anyways studying last night was fun too.we used to sleep late, late night discussions, dozens cup of coffee and bowls of Maggie were our company.

I took the direct admission procedure. I called them and enquire about the steps and came to know that the candidate whose graduation percentage was above 70 can apply for direct admission. So, with all my document especially migration and Transfer certificate from the previous college is needed for the admission.

The Faculty of my college was very good and friendly. They were always ready to help us at any step. I would like to mention especially two of my faculty i.e. Vijaya Mam and Maha Mam. They were very helpful to me to each and every step. Their way of teaching is very much understandable. I had learned many things from them. Apart from them, all other faculties were good too.
