Likes

The college has a huge and well maintained infrastructure.
All the faculties are very friendly and supportive
The college is also providing good placement with high packages.

Dislikes

I feel the fees of various self financed course are too high.
The college hostel fee is also very high compared to other college hostels.
The events and other cultural programs in the college is very minimal.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed to provide a high quality learning experience for the students.The curriculum encompasses range of topics including community health and nutrition, epidemiology, malnutrition.

Internships Opportunities

the college is providing good internship opportunities for their students. the internship program is for 60 days which is not paid for my course. during internship the students have to work in various hostipal to gain experience.

Placement Experience

The college provides a very good placement for the students. they are providing placements for final year students of various courses. The highest package offered was 20 lakh per year and the average package was 5 lakh per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

For self financed program:the tuition fee is 55000 per semester.as year wise it will be around 110000 indian rupees. For government aided program:the tuition fee is around 10000 rupees per semester.As year wise it will be around 20000 rupees.the college is also providing various scholarship programs for the students.

Campus Life

my overall experience in the college is very good.there are various clubs in the college which is very helpful for the students. every classroom is equipped with ICT tools for better understanding of the students.the college also focuses on sports and extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

I have opted to stay in college hostel eventhough it is expensive . the college hostel has sufficient number of rooms which can accomodate 3 students. the hostel mess is attatched to hostel. the hostel has wifi facility and washimg machine for students.

Hostel Fee: INR 55000 per year

Admission

This college is known for my course I have selected. This college is also known for their internship and good placements. I was on the waiting list and i got admission in spot admission. I didnt get rejected from any college.

Faculty

In a class the faculty to student ratio is 1:20.My favourite faculty of the college is Dr Sreelekha Ma'am because of her engaging teaching methods.Semester exams are conducted at the end of each semester.

Night Life

there is not much nightlife in the college. the college is very strict on their hostel and college timings. Fish pond and canteen is the famous hangout place for the students. there are many cafeterias and hotels near to the college.

The choosed this course as I have complete background of bachelor degree in Nutrition and was interested in doing community nutrition service where master degree would enrich me with the background knowledge to empower peoples with Nutrition knowledge.The faculty staffs have done their doctrate in food science and nutrition and are enriched with best modern teaching methods which guided and motivate to learn a lot about the field .The term exams where conducted as 2 internal exams each semester and 1 external exam .The course is for 2years so there are 4 external exams and 8 internal exams .The different lab enriched with current updated equipment help to learn more practically ,the lab setup included foods lab ,food testing lab , nutrition lab and physiology lab .The exams are easy to pass if you are 70 percent consistent on practical and theory papers .

My Honest Opinion

Placement Experience:

Last semester students can participate in the Campus placement.And also 2nd year students can also participate. Many companies will come for the placement camp.Like Infosys, Wipro and many other IT companies and also Fianance companies are offered for BBA students. Highest Salary Package is about 4LPA and average is about 1.2LPA. Minimum 60% of students gets placement. My plans to get a job in an IT company within this year.

Very much satisfied with the infrastructure, and we enjoy all things in our college life. Placements: Our course is information technology. Our class has 45 students. HCL, Omega, etc., come here. Overall, 35 students got internships in our course on QSpiders. They are offered a job as well. Infrastructure: Our department is located in a good place in our college. We like our department staff very much. They are very kind and good. Our favorite place is our lab. They have a good atmosphere. The classrooms are very neat. Faculty: Our teachers are kind and good at heart. We are very proud of our department staff and HOD. Their teaching is very good. The curriculum is relevant. It makes the students ready for the industry. Semester exams are a little difficult. I firstly and foremost preference is PSG College which I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree and I applied 4 more colleges but I got mail from this college only. Compare to other colleges I like PSG more because the first reason is it located in Coimbatore the city is cool and best. The addmission process is asusual little bit though because there are many instructions need to follow for getting addmission in college there is no entrence exam and my cutoff is 364 and I pay donation also 150000 and it is management quota there also merit for those students they don't need to pay donation amount...Read More
