Entrance Preview

IIT JEE-70: i gave this exam so i could take admission in IIT MH-CET: i gave this exam so i live in maharashtra only. I wanted a college in mumbai itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure seems perfect. We are gaining knowledge but there is less practical one. I just want a little more practical knowledge than to just write stuff. Apart from that subjects provided to us are interesting. Some are difficult but some are fun to do.

Internships Opportunities

I dont exactly know about this but yeah our college provides internship. These companies search for students who are good in studies as well as extra curricular activities like sports.

Placement Experience

3.5

Alot of companies come in our college. For example- lnt, reliance, fevicol, essar, etcJob opportunities are there but not so much. Only few students are selected. Competition is very high. Companies offer a great deal but not at first. As an intern you get less salary at starting but to gain experience you have to join some company.

College Events

4.5

We have a fest called abhiyaan every year. In this students from other colleges can participate too. They can take part in neon cricket, dancing, singing, fashion show, football and other fun games. There are games like treasure hunt and CSI. Sports event organised this time is very interesting. The teams are made department vise. There are games like football, cricket, kabaddi, kho kho, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not expensive but it should be equal for everyone. For EBC i understand but for others too. I pay 1.3 lac but my other frnd pays only 30,000. But her dad earns more than my dad.I may agree that it is based on caste system but it should be no more applicable now. Everyone is eligible to pay equal amnt of fees. Students who are genuinely poor should be helped not the one who belongs to castes.

Fees and Financial Aid

No not so soon. I dont have any scholarship. But maybe in future on scoring 10 pointer gives me a scholarship. I will avail a scholarship if i do smthing great. But there are alot of scholarship programs in our college.

Campus Life

3.5

There are alot of programs on robotics, car, iot, machines, entrepreneur and other stuff. Campus life is great. People here are very nice and creative. There is a club for every thing so that equality is provided to every gender, cast , religion, race and student.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is not that great. And talking about mess food than it has to be oily, tasteless and clumsy. Water facility in hostel is very poor. Beds in our college is very uncomfortable.Im not a hostel student but my frnds keep on complaining abt it whole day. Im sure that hostel is a creepy place. But yeah with frnds anything can be fun. Sometimes at night we grp study. This is fun.But toilets are not so hygenic. Mess food has two kind of curry but both tastes the same. Rice is overcooked all the time. Roti is also overcooked sometimes. Dal contains alot of water in it.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah they are very helpful and generous. They encourage alot. Sharing there personal experiences gives us motivation to become a better person.

Exam Structure

Exams are held once in every month. They are called UT.Semesters are held in every six months. Semesters is a very long time. It takes a month to finish.Praticals are held before sem exams. This time is very hectic we have alot to complete and submit everything on time.

Admission

I got admission in this institute thru mhcet. We registered in a government body. There are four rounds n in every round u get a college according to ur performance in entrance exam. In final round i got this college so i took admission in it. I got saraswati, mgm, pillai and finally bharati. Then giving my certificates and payine the fees gave me this college.

Faculty

3.5

Teachers are really good, smart, helpful here. Few are strict and few are very kind and generous. We have alot of fun together if we go on IV with them. They seem very interested in teaching. And all of them are qualified enough to teach us. Rather they provide us with extra knowledge too.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
