Remarks

NPAT is the entrance exam that you must give to get into NMIMS SAMSOE. You must be in the top 200 for the school of economics to get into the Mumbai Campus. Application fees for SOE are 1500/- and increase by 1000/- for every other school or every other attempt. There's no reservation in NMIMS. The admission process was very smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

NMIMS is the best college in India for B.Sc. economics. The course is very inclusive. Teacher: Student ratio is around 1:30. The faculty is well-qualified and teaches everything practically. Exams happen once every semester. But other exams like Mid-semester exams, ICAs, assignments and projects happen every week.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 325000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is currently 3.25 lakhs per annum which is on the higher end if we take India's undergraduate programme fees. The fee increases by 15% every year. There are no scholarships or financial assistance. However, campus placements are good.

Campus Life

School of Economics has 3 fests in a year, namely Shastrath, Kaching x Ejcon and Fury. There are also monthly events organised by clubs. The library is great, has all the course books and a lot of other books for reference. Classrooms are like hotel rooms. They have ACs, Smart Boards and Wifi Facilities. There are no sports at NMIMS because of the small campus. However, the sports club organises sports on rented grounds and courts once in a while. There are many clubs run by students. Finance club, literary club, e-cell, corporate integration club, photography club, sports club, social club etc. are great.

Well worth the journey!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

In univeral college from sem 6 students become eligible for campus placements, Name of the companies offered in placement is TATA TCS, Infotech , and etc. Highest package from our college is 10 LPA and average is 3.2 lacs per annum. 20% percent of students successfully get placed in the companies from our placement team. After getting degree i will prefer to study more with MCA two years of course and side by side business & developing webs and applications as this is my passion and motive. i will prefer business Now i am interested in python programming language and JAVA after this React JS, Node JS and PL / SQL + MONGO DB for backend programming which has no user interactions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

The course is an integrated MSc and the Institute is funded by the both university of Mumbai and the department of atomic energy. Student: teacher ratio is so much satisfactory, each professor knows each student. The professors are mainly visiting professors from IIT Bombay, barc, tifr etc institutes.
