Remarks
Colleges applied for - Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune TISS, Tuljapur campus. Didn't select the above-mentioned universities because I wanted to study in my home city. Admission Criteria for SAMSOE: had to give the entrance exam and score above 55% in Class 12 maths
Course Curriculum Overview
Chose this course because of my interest in economics. Given the emphasis on econometrics - the course helps to build a scientific approach to teaching economics, and at the same time includes the behavioral aspect. The variety of courses offered and the focus on dissertations help prepare students to compete on a world-class level. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:40 which is ideal. All the teachers either had a Ph.D. or were in the process of obtaining one. Regular faculty review was also taken and student's suggestions given due consideration. Regular term exams - twice a year were conducted. Apart from these internal tests (best of 3), presentations and essays were to be submitted.
