Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose BTech+MTech in Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology at IIT BHU because the college is a pioneer in providing in BTech degree in pharmaceutical engineering. It is the first university in Asia to do so. Also, the course has a very high scope in the research field. The faculty here are very good. Almost everyone has done their Ph.D. from premium institutes in both India and abroad. Most of them teach in both Hindi and English and use slides to teach. Although there are some teachers whose teaching methods are not so good. This is mostly because many of the students are from a non-biology background, but the course expects us to study some basic biology. The professors are very helpful and are available 24x7 for doubts and other help. We usually have a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam. I have not yet attempted one, so I cannot comment on exams. But overall academics is good if you are willing to put in some effort.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are offered by many major domestic and abroad companies. Details regarding internships can be found on the institute's website. Internships are done by mostly 3rd-year students. But you can also do interns in 2nd or 1st year if you have the skill.

Placement Experience

4.5

We can apply for placement from the 4th year. Details of placement data and statistics can be found on in official institute website. Also, the campus provides facilities for internships. Usually, interns are done by 3rd-year students. However, you do interns in your 2nd or even in 1st year if you have an interest and qualify their criteria.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee alone is 1 lakh. Additionally to that, there are hostel and mess fees and fees for other amenities and facilities. For the first semester, the net fee to be paid is 121465/-. However, they provide fee waivers and remissions based on category and income. For ST, SC, and PwD candidates, the 1 lakh is fully waived. For students having an annual family income of less than 1 lakh, the semester fees (1 lakh), are fully waived. For students having an annual family income of less than 5 lakh, 2/3 rd of semester fees are waived. Also, the institute provides various scholarships for students which can be availed if you pass the eligibility criterion mentioned. Details of such scholarships can be obtained from the official website of the institute www.iitbhu.ac.in.

Campus Life

4.5

The college host 3 major fest in a year. SPARDHA is the annual meet to showcase the sports and athletics strength of the campus. TECHNIC is the annual techno-management fest of the campus where people come together and collaborate to make the world a better place. KASHIYATHRA is the annual socio-cultural fest which is also one of the prominent fests in India. Besides these, there are other fest and workshops conducted by clubs and councils. The library on the campus is well maintained and almost all books are available in either physical or electrical form. There is even a special amenity for SC-ST students an SC-ST Book bank. The classrooms are also good. Every class has its projectors and screen and can accommodate at least 100 students. The campus has 3 grounds and a student activity center (SAC) to promote the athletic and sports hobbies of students. The campus has many achievements in sports, social and cultural activities run all India level.

Hostel Facilities

5

As for boys, all first years are accommodated in the ARYABHATTA hostel. It can accommodate as many as 1900 students. Each room houses 3 students. Every room has fans, lights, cupboards, and table chairs. They also have a charging point and LAN port which provide high-speed internet of around 420 Mbps. The hostel also has all-around wifi which can be accessed through the institute id. The mess food is very good and the service is great. The food quality is very good. The hostel also has two canteens where you can buy almost everything from ice cream to noodles. The bathrooms are also very clean and have geiser attached. Hostel registration is done on the first day and might be a bit longer if you don't have the necessary documents.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
