Remarks

IBS Hyderabad is one of the renowned names in B- Schools. They have very good reputation among the companies and also it has good academic structure with 100 case based focus. It will be very good experience for a student with lots of knowledge with study load.

Entrance Preview

IBS has a common entrance test called as IBSAT- ICFAI Business school Aptitude Test. Scores are not revealed to any student. Based on the ranking they place there students into different location and Hyderabad is the best among other locations. My main decision point was good placements and IBS was having good record in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

It has robust curricular with lots of practical exposure to industry. They have very good case studies. The course structure is very good. Every subject had a theory book, workbook and a case study. All the important topics had a case study. Case study would be of a reputed company.

Internships Opportunities

The internship program is undertaken by students after second semester and fourth semester under supervision of the faculty.

Placement Experience

IBS has good reputation and brand image. We had training and also rigorous Many companies had come such as TCS, WIPRO, ICICI, Kotak mahindra bank, Reliance, Religare. The average package was around 4 to 5 lac and almost everybody were placed in the companies.

Exam Structure

Every day you may expect a surprise test which will land you in writing a lot of assignments. Exams were conducted at the end of the semester and the results are calibrated. Based on calibration GPA is assigned to students. Your GPA depends on not only your performance but also on others performance. Be assured if the paper is tough and you have done well compare to others, you will get good GPA.

Admission

ICFAI Business School is one of premium B-Schools in India. The have a common entrance test called as IBSAT- ICFAI Business school Aptitude Test. All students who c;ear the test will further have 2 more rounds - Presentation and Personal interview.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies visited my campus are 1.naukri 2.berkedia 3.tcs And other 20% of students got placed. They got nice packages as well

Placement Experience:

The placements are decent, the average lies somewhere between 12-13 LPA. the highest salary till now was 28LPA, and few companies like Big 4, come for mass recruitment. I have plans to work after my MBA, so I'm looking forward to the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I said earlier the course is for 2 years with 4 semesters each 6 months. In my college, they used to conduct 3 midterm exams every semester which are not hard if u attend college regularly and study well. I took this course because I like accounting and business very much. The faculty members have good skills and experience they take time and explain everything not complete fast like others. The faculty-student ratio is 2:21. The lecturers use content based teaching methods for easy understanding.

The college secures 100% placement every year. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, PWC, Genpact, ICICI Bank, SBI life, IDFC bank, and many more companies come to recruit students from campus for campus placement, the placement season starts in 5 semesters, generally, in the month of September every year, there are many good offers and roles in majorly finance and marketing and HR. profiles like Tax consultant, business analyst, credit analyst, sales manager, territory manager, business development executives, etc are offered. For batch 2018-20 there was 100% placement and for 2019 -21 placement still going on.

Remarks:

In our college environment is very good. The whole campus is surrounded by nature and peacocks. That was one of the best parts of our college. Placements were also improving a bit. For marketing placements were very good. For Digital marketing, our college has the best faculty to date. After these student personality growth activities are also conducted. Students will have freedom.

I didn't apply to any other colleged since I was focused on OBS Hyderabad. The addmission process is straightforward. You can apply through CAT, NMAT and IBSAT with IBSAT offering a scholarship of two lakhs to the eligible students.
