There was a cut-off for the honors courses & a counseling process was held for admission through which I got admission. I didn't sit for an entrance exam. You can find the application form either on the official college website or you can grab it from the administration office of the college. I don't think there are any reservation criteria as I've never heard of it in the college. The college authority discontinued the counseling admission process since Covid. I think they shall continue it further.

I choose BA English as per plans & also this is the best department or course in this college. The faculties are very helpful, from the teachers to the principal everyone. Most of the faculty are doctorates from very reputable institutes in the nation. They explain topics in the easiest way & in Assamese, English & also in Hindi sometimes so the students can understand. The term exams are conducted every 2 months or 45 days to improve students & these exams are pretty hard to pass.

The government of Assam gives financial relief to students who are below the poverty line, and the students whose parents aren't govt employees don't need to pay the whole admission fee. It's possible only if students can submit proper documents. There's no campus job or scholarship. But, students can apply for the national and state scholarship schemes provided by the government and UGC.

Poripati emic year of starts with the freshmen social held on every 30th June. In the month of January, college week is held where various types of sports and cultural competitions are taken place. Students can avail or lend any book from the library for a week. Each classroom gets fans and lights, and speakers and large screens are also provided in some class halls. There's a massive advantage for the students who are involved in any sports. They can play anything indoors or outdoors. All facilities are provided here. Social groups like NSS also work actively in the college. And the students union elected through the general election every year also there for you.
