Krishna Engineering College Ghaziabad, B.Tech, Electronics & Communication Engineering
Reviewed on Jun 13, 2017

Remarks

College was overall good. As there is something good and bad in everything, some things like hostel food was a trouble sometimes. apart from that rest was good as per me.

Entrance Preview

I took uptu exam for this course. Then I attended the counseling and I chose BTech in electronics and communication because I was willing to have technical degree in electronics. This is a course in which you can explore things in software and electronics both. there is a very good scope in telecommunication and in networking as well for electronics students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In my b.tech in electronics and communication, in my first year, all the subjects were common for every student. each subject of every branch was included in the first year. in next three years all subjects were related to the core branch in each semester 6 subjects were there in which one 4 subjects were technical and rest two were management.

Internships Opportunities

As such no internship program is there, but in the last of third year they allow students to take internship in companies like BELL etc. and those are the paid trainings. but there should be one program to provide internship to students in their respective areas so that they can explore things more and earn also.

Placement Experience

3.5

In 2016, all 150 students were placed. Multiple of companies came in my college. Hcl, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, sopera, etc. were the companies came to my college. All the students who had 60% above in their academics got chance to take part in those drives.

College Events

3.5

As you join the college, as a fresher I got one fresher's party in the starting of the year. After that there was a branch wise cultural fest and in the end of the year college fest occurs in which lots of things were to explore like technical events, cultural events, sports activities and on the last day of fest DJ night and celebrity meet was also there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of any course in not too low or high. Its affordable for those who chose this course for the purpose of really doing it.Tuition fee of every student in Btech is 90k almost per year. For those who can't afford this and want to do this technical course there are some fee waiver seats which are limited.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college doesn't provide scholarship. they provide appreciation amount like 10k to branch topper every year. but from my point of view there should scholarship programs for students so that they study hard to get that.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was such a fun. As it was a technical course so girls were comparatively less, but i never felt unwanted among the people there, college environment was pretty good. about extracurriculars, college was more focused on those activities. every year sports day were celebrated and debates occurs in every fest.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

About Hostels, Fee was 65k per year. Rooms were quiet spacious, there were only two sharing and single seater rooms.Proper sanitation was there. Mess food was satisfactory, its was not so good as they prepared it in bulk for almost 200 students.Hostel security was also good, as we had to take permission from Warden before going out.

Alumni/Alumna

When i joined the college i was totally unaware about the things like official intro and internal exams. so i took help of my seniors in hostel and college as well. they provided me their notes and helped me in the best way they can. The best thing about the college there were three days for official interaction with the seniors.

Exam Structure

About exams, In each year we were having 2 semesters and in each semester there were 3 internal exams and labs. Two were class tests and the last one was pre semester test. One external lab test was also there. in three internal exams only best two were counted for the final internals.

Admission

I took an entrance exam first. after the results were out i attended the counseling. Then i attended an orientation program there, after that i went for documents submission and i have got my section, allotted by respective branch heads. There was nice treatment for freshers.

Faculty

4.5

About the faculties all were well educated, even applied science faculties were also having master degrees. All were supportive and taught us well. Most of the faculties were retired from air force . They have worked as engineers there and having a good practical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Placement Experience:

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
