About college life

College management is pretty strict and do not listen to students views . They take decision on what they feel must be done. I would not recommend anyone to take admission in this college unless he is a sportsman.

JEE and MHT-CET are the exams if you want to get admission in this college . And of course there is always a management quota in private colleges. When I took admission 4 years back the CET cutoff for Civil was around 100-105. The JEE mains cutoff was 60-65.

The college is too much study oriented and only the students with good attendance are given good internal marks. Very strict according to the the university norms but better than other colleges.Reaserch work is not that much heard of . Being established in 2009 the college has long way to go and being of renowned Gokhale society it will achieve high standards with passing time.

No internship provided. Only the college told us to go for job on sites in the leave of 3rd years for 15 days and no stipend was given and job sites were to be found on our own.Many students did not go for internship due to that purpose.

Campus recruitment are good for Computer branch with average package of 2.5lakhs. For civil there were options other than civil industry like the Call Centers and other desk jobs. Local companies are the main recruiters and around 100 students out of all branches are placed .

The fests are average . Locals participate in the department fests . Our cultural fest held is too below par cultural fests. The technical events of our department took only twice in my 4 years . Sometimes permission are not given for technical fests . Poor in terms of cultural and technical fests.

The main thing about my college was that fees was very very affordable that is around 55k for open branch . The other castes had their concession according to government norms.The college took exam fees for every exam and the fees for providing submission material separately. We had to pay for our Bonfide certificates. The college uniform was available from college itself and we got 2 shirts and pants with 2 socks and tie and a blazer at 4000rupees.

The college had only those scholarship schemes which goverment offers.No other private scholarship were provided. No loan facility was present.

The faculty was pretty good and the college is study oriented which it must be but not my piece of cake and hence I did not enjoy. I think the college must be blend of enjoyment and study atmosphere. Hence I would not personally recommend it to someone.The college was supportive for sports more than any other college and I being a sportsman enjoyed that thing in my college . The sports department is the best in my college. We had a superb ground for cricket and tiles court for badminton . No gym or other facility were there which I felt must be present in every college. The number of girls are more in college than boys as the college is amidst the city and very safe in every norms.

Average. The hostel are very dirty and stinky and the ambience is unpleasant. The food is made in very unhealthy environment and there have been instances of food poisoning and strikes by student to change the catering service of hostel mess. A new girls hostel is under construction in campus.

10 out of 100 students are helpful in terms of alumni. Few of them are pursuing MS abroad and few Mtech/ME in India . Some are doing Job and others living on home business. Very few have become dynamic businessmen.

The college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and hence all the exams go according to them.We have 8 semisters and initial two years have online exams for 50 marks and 50 marks written exam. The last two years have 30 marks written exam and 70 marks written exam.

I got the admission on my JEE mains marks in second cap round as I had not put this college in my 1st cap round list. I had scored 65 marks in JEE mains . In 1st round I got a college which I should have taken even if it had lower ranking than my college.Then after I had been shortlisted for the course I went to the college and took the admission by following the process which differs from college to college.
