LIFE AT GMRIT CAMPUS AS A NEWBIE.

There is no particular exam to join the college; you just need to attempt the AP-EAMCET examination and clear the exam with a good score and you can quickly get into this college and choose the branch of your choice.

I choose the computer science and engineering branch because it is now at the world's top. The faculty are also experienced in that field, the student-faculty ratio is like 45:1 which is pretty good. Also, most of the faculty are professors with Ph.D. degrees, and exams are conducted on a semester basis and we can easily pass all the exams.

Internships are very much encouraged in the college as the curriculum made it mandatory for everyone to have at least one semester for a full semester internship so it is mandatory and companies like cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and epam come with good internships along with stipends as well. students get to know the industry resource persons and interact with them and do various projects during the internship process and the resource persons guide them in all possible ways.

Placements are very well designed in the college and every year the placement rates and percentages are high with an average package of nearly 4.5 lakh per annum and the highest package of 44.5 CTC and so many famous companies such as Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, ADP, Capgemini and so on have visited the campus and last year the placement percentage was 100% and I plan to go for the job after getting the degree from the college.

The fee is normally high in this college because the hostel itself charges around 1 lakh rupees which is very high also the college fee stands around 66000 per year and no financial assistance is provided except for the state government scholarships and jobs, placements are very nice here and some students get jobs with a stipend as well.

The Annual fest "STEP CONE" is very famous around the college and many students across India come here and participate in the stepcone event as it is a national fest. The college has a great library facility which can have more than 100000 different books across all departments and also all the classrooms are well equipped with boards and digital boards as well and we have a great gymnasium and sports complex as well, and also we have many student bodies and clubs which actively participate in the many events.

Rooms can accommodate up to 3 people and given the Covid situations now we have 2 students in the hostels with all well designed western style bathrooms and also washrooms separately and the weekly menu is been kept with each variety in the mess and registration is simply easy, that and all can be seen when joining in the college and locality of the hostel is inside the college premises itself. Separate hostel facility for boys and girls as well.
