Remarks

I gave UPSEE entrance exam for admission to pharmacy colleges. Then, I chose PSIT, KANPUR as my preferred college. Then, I underwent a counseling process and my admission was done through it. But, now u can take admitted to college directly by submitting the relevant documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I wanted to do pharmacy. The faculty is good, but some of them are the opposite. Approx all faculty members qualify for masters, and some are Ph.D. too. There are 3 assignments, 2 class tests, and 1 pre-university exam before the main final semester exam. A student who studies well can get good marks.

Class Size: 108Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. Both on and off-campus placements are there. Placements in marketing are good. Around 10 companies in pharmacy recruit students. Around 70% of students get placed and if not placed, placement cell, faculty seniors help to get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took admission, the fee was 150000. U have to submit it at once. No installments. Otherwise fine will be implied. U can avail government scholarship. Colleges don't give scholarships. Campus placements are there at the end of the course.

Campus Life

There are various fests, like IGNITIA-the annual fest. IPRs are there and many more. Books will be available at the library. Classes are with AC. Sports facilities are for hostellers only. A magazine PHARMAFOCUS, ECO CLUB, E STARTUP, etc. is run by students.

Decent College with Average Facilities and Opportunities

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Simple College with Average Opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
