Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is overall good and covers most of the important subjects related to pharmacy. It includes both theory and practical, which helped me to understand basic concepts. This course influenced my decision because it has good scope in medical and pharma field. But sometimes curriculum feels more theory based and less focus on real practical or industry exposure. It prepares for exams well but for real world job, students need to learn extra skills on their own. Exams are conducted semester wise with internals and externals. Frequency of exams is normal and difficulty level is moderate, not too hard if studied properly. Overall curriculum is relevant but some improvement is needed in practical learning and updated topics.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in my college are available but mostly students have to find on their own. College gives some guidance and recommendations but not many big companies come directly for internships. Most students do internship in local pharma companies, hospitals or medical stores. Roles are mainly related to production, quality control, hospital pharmacy and marketing. Stipend is usually low or sometimes unpaid, depending on company. During internship, students learn basic practical knowledge and how industry works. Tasks include handling medicines, documentation and observing processes. It is helpful for experience but exposure is limited. Overall internship experience is average, good for learning basics but college can improve more industry connections.
Placement Experience
Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of my college is moderate, not too high but also not very low. For B.Pharm, yearly fees is around ?80,000 to ?1,00,000 including tuition and lab charges. In first year, we pay extra like admission fees and caution money so it becomes little higher. From second year fees is mostly same, only small charges added sometimes. Fees is increasing slightly every year but not very much. Scholarship is available for SC/ST and also UP scholarship many students get, it helps a lot in reducing fees. Overall fees is manageable if scholarship is there, otherwise it can feel bit expensive.
Campus Life
Overall campus life is decent and enjoyable. There are some annual functions and small fests organized usually once in a year, mostly around winter time, but not very big events. Students get chance to participate in cultural and technical activities. Library has enough books related to pharmacy and academics, but not very large collection. Still it is useful for study purpose. Classrooms are basic with some having projector facilities, but more modern technology can be added. Sports and extracurricular activities are available but not very active, only limited participation is seen. There are some student groups but not many official clubs. Overall campus life is average, good for studies but social and activity part can be improved more.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility in my college is average, not very high quality but manageable for students. Rooms are simple with basic things like bed, table and fan. Cleanliness is okay but sometimes maintenance can be better. Food quality in hostel mess is normal, not very good but also not too bad. Menu is fixed and repeats sometimes, so students get bored with same food. Hostel registration process is simple and fees is affordable compared to outside rooms. Many students also prefer rented rooms or PG near college which gives more freedom. Locality around college is decent and safe, and rooms are available at reasonable price. Overall hostel and accommodation is okay but improvement is needed in food and facilities.
Admission
I choose this college because it was affordable and near to my location, so it was easy for me to manage travel and expenses. I also applied to few other colleges but either fees was too high or seats were already filled at that time. Compared to other colleges, this college is average in terms of facilities and placement, but fees structure is more reasonable. Some colleges have better infrastructure but they charge very high fees, so I preferred this one. I did not get rejection exactly but due to cutoff and late counselling, I could not get admission in some better colleges. Admission process in my college was simple, it was done through counselling and direct admission both. Eligibility is based on 12th with science stream and entrance exam like CUET or state counselling is accepted. Overall admission process was smooth but takes little time in documentation.
Faculty
Faculty members in my college are mostly qualified and supportive, and student teacher relation is good overall. Some teachers are very helpful and explain topics clearly, while few are average and teaching can feel little fast sometimes. I personally liked some faculties because they guide properly and also help during exams. Course structure is according to university syllabus, it is relevant but sometimes feels more theory based than practical. Exams are conducted semester wise with internal and external both. Internal marks depend on sessional exams and assignments. Exam level is moderate, not very hard if you study regularly. Some students fail but mostly pass if they attend classes. Marking scheme is fair but sometimes strict checking also happens. Overall academics is decent but can be improved more.
Night Life
Nightlife around my college is not very active, it is quite simple and ???? type environment. Most of the shops and cafeterias close by evening around 8-9 PM, so there is not much late night activity. Inside campus also things become quiet after evening. Library and other facilities close on time and hostel has fixed in timing, so students usually stay inside after that. There is no gym or late night canteen available in campus. Students mostly spend time with friends, walking around campus or using phone and social media. Outside college there are some small tea stalls and food points where students go in evening. Locality is generally safe but not many people prefer going out late night. Overall nightlife is average, more focused on study than entertainment.
