The admission process is quite simple. Since I'm from the same city, I directly went to the college to enquire about the admissions. They also have an online admission process. The eligibility for the course is 50% in 12th with a science background, and no additional examination is required or any interviews are to be faced. The application is available on the JSSAHER website along with the info about the application fee, admission dates and reservation benefits.

I took up this course mainly because I wanted to do something different in the field of science, and I didn't choose to engineer because everyone in this generation is taking up engineering. The faculty: student ratio is like 1:80, which is not bad. The faculty is very supportive and approachable. Most of the faculty members have a doctorate degree. Along with conventional teaching methods, the faculty focuses on experiential learning and conducts workshops, seminars, etc. Coming to exams, they are conducted every 6 months, ie semester-wise. The exams will be totally based on what we would've studied during the course, and nothing extra or out of the syllabus.

The fees for my course are feasible. Yes, the college provides scholarships. Financial assistance will be provided to students belonging to the ST, SC and OBC categories. The college does not provide any jobs on campus as far as I know.

The university conducts many fests, which include cultural events, sports and educational events. Along with these, the department alone conducts competitions, fashion week, celebrates festivals and so. They encourage sports as well. There's a basketball court, badminton courts, football and cricket field, table tennis, and many other sports. The university has a good library which has a lot of books which is enough for our studies. The classrooms are equipped with a projector and wifi.
