Best 3 years of my life

There are so many things in this college to enjoy, learn, and it help us to develope ourself in this society. It has its own brand name as LOYOLITE and it will help us at any situation in our life. I love My College than anything else.

There is no entrance exam for Commerce degree. I am doing Chartered Accountancy course right now. Hence it is advisable for me to prefer Commerce based degree. While searching for best place for commerce, here comes our college. which is one among top 5 commerce colleges in India. That attracts me a lot. And it worths it.

Commerce is basically a theoritical oriented paper. But here we felt very interesting with the structure they had. They had lot more other activities other than major subjects, we can choose any subject of our choice from any other department from our college each semester. I chose Data Base Management System, Web Designing, Multimedia, etc from computer science department. It also provide us a chance for having contact with other department fiends also.

Each student should undergo an internship program in the final year for 30 days. College will be off during those days. We should search for the place for internship as per the guidelines provided by our staffs. I undergo my internship at an auditor firm and i got a stipend of Rs.5000 including allowances. I got so many practical knowledge during those 30 days and we should prepare a report on that. We will have a VIVA session for the work done during those days.

Immediately after starting my final year, so many companies were started to recruit their candidates, since I was a commerce student I was very interested to attend the placements of Audit Firm. Big four firms came for placement and I was placed in E&Y with te package of Rs.3.5 lakhs per annum. There are so many other companies like Delloite, KPMG, RBS, CITI bank, Wipro, TCS, etc and maximum every student who attended those interviews got placed in some companies. minimum package was Rs.2.5 lakhs and maximum it went to Rs.7.5 lakhs per annum as of my knowledge.

We celebrate Asia's Biggest Intra College Cultural Program called Ovations. It will be celebrated for two days. It will be very fun to see Most of the celebrities can be seen during those 2 days. and we have our clubs like Citizen Consumer Club where we use to participate in other college culturals and we will also conduct culturals. There will be so many other small celebrations like pongal celebration, teachers day celebration, etc etc There will be sports day. and We have our own Inter College Dance culturals named IGNITE held at private Hall in Chennai which is well known to all chennaites.

Comparing to other Commerce colleges, it may look little expensive. Bit the quality of education and other curriculum worth it to the core. Personally I feel it is reasonable for this kind of college. I paid 17000Rs. per semester in my first year and 23000Rs per semester in my second Year and 30000 Rs in my Final year. Other than this they will charge Exam fees of Rs.100 per paper.

Yes. If we procure Very good marks in initial semester exams they us to provide scholarships for those students and they also provide fee concessions for the students who are from backward area and lower middle class students.

There is no gender problem in our department as there is only boys in our department. But there are girls in other departments like VISCOM. As of my knowledge they feel very secure with the classroom environment. Though it was Jesuit institute they didnt impose any religious kind of restrictions on us. They respect other religion also.

I had applied for hostel in our college. But unfortunately I didn't got my seat there. So I had went to Private Mansion in Kodambakkam. It costs Rs.2500 per month and for food it ll be around Rs.4500 per month. If I was admitted in Hosted it could cost much less than What I ve spent here. Hostel food is very good and I use to eat inside the hostel often..

Our Seniors are our role model in our college. Right from the first day they were very useful for us in each and every situation. Be it exam oriented of personal care, our seniors are like our own brothers. They support us a lot even after they passed out from the college.

We use to have two Internal exams before semerster exams. 50% of portions will be cover in first internal and remaining in second internal. Internal exam will possess 80 marks and our assignments will possess 20 marks. total of 100 they will convert it to 50 and semester marks will constitute remaining 50 converted from 100. So there will b equal weightage for both Internal and External Exams. There will be enough time and notes for preparation.

If you secured decent mark in higher education, then there are chances to get admitted here. I got 98% in my board exam and on the same day of result applications were available in college website. I applied through Online and went in person after a week to submit the original documents. I got the selection list in first week of June and my name was there. Then I was called for an interview along with my parents. The management was very good and My parents felt very happy for me.

Our faculty were very friendly and they are available at any time during college hours. And we got chance for getting into personal care of few of them. They are very sincere at their work and wont waste even sacrifice even single class. They are very interested in other activities and their assignment were very practical and innovative. It helps us to interact with so many people at locality and also in top level persons of reputed companies.
