Remarks
The admission is done only on a merit basis. Application forms are available at the counters and are even available online on the college's official website. Once the application is made (online or offline) and if the applicant has the minimum required cutoff, he/she will be called for counselling in which the available seats will be filled. The required cutoffs vary each year and are decided by the college after the result of the respective year's Public Examination.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA is generally opted by business enthusiasts and it entirely deals with business studies. Though pursuing a PG degree is essential for this course, the BBA degree from our college has a unique speciality. The number of students varies in each department. In our department, there are 320 students who are taught by a group of 20 faculties. The faculties are really knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. The understanding is made easier by the seminars, presentations, group discussions, demonstrations, etc. The Exams are not that hard. A Semester is conducted once every 4 months. In between, there will surely be 2 CIAs and there may be some other class tests. Proper listening to the lectures and grasping of the concepts is enough to score high in the exams.
Placement Experience
I'm currently studying my second year in college and so I can't accurately tell about the placement statistics. However, by interacting with my seniors, I learned that the companies like HCL, Accenture, and Ford visit our college years for campus placements. A student who has kept no arrears throughout his three years with decent marks in each of the semester exams will be able to crack the campus interviews.
Fees and Financial Aid
Generally, the fee structure for a course in the evening shift will be more than a course in the morning shift because of the fact that the government aids them. My course (BBA) costs 55k per year excluding this semester fee. But I would say it is better to prefer a course on the day shift. There are a few scholarships that are provided in the college. SC/ST scholarship and the scholarship for the students whose family's income is lower are some of them. I'm currently pursuing a second year in the course and I don't know much about the campus placement process. However, I have learnt from my seniors that the placement for our course is comparatively good with nearly 10 companies visiting our college yearly.
Campus Life
There are various events that are conducted by various departments frequently. The frequency increases when it approaches the end of a semester. A separate block is allotted as a library. Books with various kinds of streams are available including the study materials for various competitive exams. Sports are well encouraged by the college and once a student qualifies for the college team, he will be reaching heights in a period of time. There is a student forum for each department and the students can effectively enrol themselves in it and grow their interpersonal skills.
