Great time of my life

Overall, college is great. Great place to learn and enjoy. Our teachers were like our friends. I really enjoyed my college days.

After passing from my graduate degree, I filled Fergusson College form and waited for the list to come up. As I had above first class marks in graduation, I got shortlisted in first list only.

Course structure was really good. Far better than my previous college. It was focused on the latest trends and industry standard. Apart from the regular course, there was some other activities also to improve the personal growth. Even there were lots of competitions arranged.

Yes, our college offers internship opportunity to various well known, multi-national companies. Stipend generally depends on company, but on an average student from my batch used to get 5K per month. Companies like IBM, Cognizant, Syntel etc used to come for offering internships.

There were both type of events celebrated in our college - Cultural as well as Technical. We had event which has many competitions arranged from lecture competition, project competition, writting computer program, etc. We also had cultural event like dance, group dance, play, etc.

Considering the course - computer science master degree, I think the fees was okay. As for the other courses like engineering the fees was almost the same. So even though it was not very feasible for me, I think it was justified. For the two years course, the fees was around 80K that time.

Campus life was really nice. Gender ratio was also almost equal. I did not experience any diversity in terms of sex, religion or any other concern. We had students came from villages, but we all enjoyed our college days together. We had birthday celebrations, we had trip to beach, sports events and even group studies. We helped each other.

Senior students were helpful. I remember when my senior student got placement and we were very much curious to know what they do in company and they used to share their experience with us

It was okay considering our course, because for the computer science students, it is essential to spend enough time in labs to complete the projects and assignment. So although it was hectic, it was okay and we all really enjoy it! Also the exams were structured well.

Apart from the college faculty, there were industry experts coming to our college to teach us. In house teachers were really brilliant and knew all the latest technologies and knowledge. And we get to learn from the industry experts about our course as well as how professionals work in company.
