Remarks

Admission into the University is through the CLAT exam, an all-India exam. Securing an AIR less than 1000 would guarantee a seat at NUALS through the All India quota. There are separate reservations for Kerala State students, SC, ST, Persons with disabilities, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is very diverse. You study six subjects every semester. By the end of the course, you would have studied 60 diverse subjects which will give you a very broad idea of the laws in India as well as society in general. There's a mixture of good and not so good faculty as in any law school but overall the teachers, in general, are very nice and approachable.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship cell was started two years ago. Since then it has been offered several internships at top firms for students. To name a few, top firms such as Trilegal, Khaitan, S&R, and corporations like Vedanta have given internships to students in these two years.

Placement Experience

4.5

NUALS has a very active Placement Cell as well as an Internship Cell. In my batch several students got placed and several got jobs through their internships. The average salary package is around 8-9 LPA. Not everyone opts for placements as they wish to write government exams, judiciary exams, UPSC CSE as well as apply for Masters abroad. Our batch has students who have received offers from Cambridge, LSE, Queen Mary, and Dalhousie University to name a few. Others write the CLAT PG exam. Amongst the ones who sat for placements, almost 75 percent of them received a job. You may search for 'NUALS Placement Committee' on LinkedIn for more placement-related details.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are around 2.5 lakhs inclusive of tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fees, etc. It is slightly on the higher end but the facilities provided in the hostel and the food provided are worth the money spent.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many events conducted throughout the year and one can participate in or volunteer to organize them. If one is active they can have a lot of fun as well as make good friends through these events. There are several Journals, Newsletters, etc on which students can join as editors- such as the NUALS Law Journal, NUALS Health Law Journal, CHLP Newsletter, NUALS Securities Newsletter, and NUALS IBC Newsletter. There are decent sports facilities provided like a football field, badminton court, a basketball court. Indoor sports can be provided. The library is well stocked with all the required books. The library is also very well maintained and the staff is very cooperative and helpful.

The moot court competitions and debate competitions are conducted many times in a year which are very useful for a law student.I wish if there are more interested college competitions then it would be more useful.Usually there is a gap of six months between two exams and during that period students get enough time for preperation.

Placement Experience:

The college does have a placement program. It's mainly to companies which have a law department. I don't specifically know the companies but I've heard it offers great exposure. The companies include Technopark companies, UST etc. The package starts from 20000 per month and maybe above according to our profile. My personal loan after the couse is to practice law as an advocate and then go for the judgeship programe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams usually conducted in two parts as semester ways. But due to the current covid situationno exams has been conducted upto this date. I think some times they probably go for a online exam. Because in kerala the current situation is bad. In the whole India kerala is facing more challenges. The exams are more difficult to pass. The criterion for passing the exams are really hard. Probably the passing average is less compared to other colleges.
