Remarks

Basically, we can take admission by two methods The first one is by HPCET and the second one is by JEE mains. The 85 percent of seats are reserved for the students of the home state and the rest 15 percent for out-state students. As such the reservation benefits are given to the students such as OBC, SC, St. The admission process is overall good

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As such, I was interested in computer science but due to family pressure of getting a government job I take the civil branch The ratio of students out of 10 is 2 girls 10 boys in engineering branches and 8 out of 10 girls in the branch. The faculty of our college is highly experienced as they have cracked the exams of Himachal Pradesh. To pass exams one has to study very deeply.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are two ways by which one can do an internship The first one is that we can take the internship provided by the college itself and the second option is that we can find one by ourselves. We can do internships in core companies as well as other ones according to our interests.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of my college is the overall average. the placement of the ece and electrical is good and he placement of civil and mechanical is better than that. The companies are- Bajaj, Panasonic, microtex which have visited our college. The highest package is around 5 lacs and the average is 2.5 lacs My plan after engineering are to prepare for govt exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The average fees per sem in the college is around 25 to 30k. The total amount is around 250000 for the whole course for 4 yr.I am not sure about 5-year courses. There are scholarship opportunities starting from 1 st sem.

Campus Life

4

One fest is organized by our college each year. I forgot the name of the fest but, it is not only the one fest that is organized by our college. all the branches of our college organize their different Fest each sem. The Library of our college is very big and the students can take books but the main drawback is that we can take only one book at a time and we can take another one when we will give back first The sports facilities of our college are overall good. Clubs- civil club, NSS, , electric club

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is insane Fee Structure - 950/sem room rent - 2400/month food bill I think it is affordable to every one. The food of hostel is not very good but average. The hostel is only provided to first year students and after that we have to take rooms and pgs on rent. The room rent near college is according to the person it cost around 2000 per person and food faculties around 3000 of three time. The pg is for 5000-5500 rs

Placement at JUIT begins from the 7th semester, core branches like cSE see good placements while Bioinformatics has limited on campus opportunities, Most of them opt for higher studies or research roles. I planned to go for job.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
