The Pleasure Garden of My Youth, My beloved college

The admission procedure in my college is very short and simple. There's no entrance yet. Admissions are made completely based on the marks of the Higher Secondary or equivalent exam. To be eligible, one needs to score at least 55% in the previous exam, and then he/she can shortly apply for admission. The admission process mainly starts after one or two weeks after the declaration of higher secondary results. Anyone can easily visit the official site of Bankura Christian College and fill up the form with the required documents. According to me, it will be better if the authority conducts an entrance test for admission. It will be helpful for the true meritorious students.

I have chosen this course because of two reasons. Firstly, I'm a literature lover. I always wanted to study literature in the future. And secondly, English is a very trending and important subject all throughout the globe. It will surely help me in finding a good job for myself. My college is one of the best colleges for this course. The faculties are highly qualified. They have absolute mastery over the subject. The teaching process is very interesting and of course helpful. The faculty: student ratio can be approximately 1:10. We are given class tests in every weak and thus we have scopes to develop our standard. And the final semester exams usually take place once in a half-month. It's quite difficult to score well in exams if one does not study properly for the whole semester.

As it is a normal degree course, we're not commonly given such placements. But various private schools often tie-up with the college to recruit interns for their vacant posts. The students here mainly prepare for competitive and college service exams. Many institutions like George Teligraph Training Institute likewise also recruit interns from our college on the basis of merit and face-to-face interviews.

Like other degree colleges, our college also doesn't ask for a huge amount of fees. The fee structure is very simple and it's quite affordable. Besides, we used to receive various scholarships to pursue the course. For example, half-free and full-free studentship is given to poor and meritorious students. Moreover, many prizes and stipends are also given on the basis of merit and financial crisis.

Life on the campus is very enjoyable. Apart from studies, we are given the opportunity to participate in various cultural competitions and sports events. For example, intercourse wall magazine competition, intercourse extempore competition, mock teaching, etc are organized in each and every session to focus on the overall development of a particular student. Besides, the annual fest "Nexus" also takes place in December and it's like a huge festival in the whole town. The library is well enriched with an abundant number of books. All types of curricular and extracurricular books are commonly available in the central library. The classrooms are well decorated with modern amenities and equipment. We are given all the scopes to sit for hours without getting bored.

I'm currently staying in a college hostel named "Brown Hostel". It provides a single-seated room to each and every student at nominal fees. We're charged 8000 per annum for habitation purposes. All the necessary items which are needed for staying comfortably are supplied by the hostel authority. The meal quality is also worth appreciating. We get 2 meals a day at an approximate cost of 1800 per month. Monthly feasts are also organized frequently. The registration for admission to the hostel starts with college admission. Students get admission on the basis of their marks and the availability of rooms. To be honest, the fees are quite affordable and reasonable.
