Entrance Preview

I took All Kerala Engineering Entrance examination and got 20 thousand rank opted for the centralized allotment for Computer Science Engineering. This college was next best option for Computer Science because it had 120 seats and my friend was studying and had positive feedback about teaching.

Internships Opportunities

We had not so much internships offered by the college. There is no stipend offered here. However we had only some paid professional training for job opportunities. In 2014 there was some companies about 10 came for interview and selected some students but the companies was not well known and sometimes after giving offer letter they never called us again.

Placement Experience

1.5

There is one placement cell and it made some companies to come to our college in 2014 and about 50 students were placed from all branches like EC, EEE, MEch,CS,BT. GISL offered 18000 per month. GLobal Sutherland 15000 per month. Any way not to mention other companies because they were all fraud as we saw one company from Sathya mangalam and we think that was fraud because they asked us to give them 10000 for job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is two fees structure. One is for govt allotted seat which was 35000 for 2010 batch per year. Additional they charge about 7000 including lab fee, other special fee. One is management seat that may cost more than govt fees and some times different. Also there is bus fees for one coming by college bus and it was expensive about 1500 per head for one month for nearer places.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility was available and was taken by individual from nearer bank and college helped in retaining fee structure for loan approval.

Campus Life

4

College consisting a good play ground which is for Basket ball, Volley ball and badminton. It consists of NSS a social service scheme for boys and girls and we have gone camp for other places to understand social living.

Alumni/Alumna

We had no active alumni association however we are always invited to the college celebrations under senior students category. The senior students were nice and some of them had rude behaviour and they were punished when we had reported. There was a strike happened twice in our college because of the faulty timing and rules introduced by the new committee under management. College had a spiritual movement seniors as Jesus Youth and they were nicer to anyone who needs help in prayer. Seniors helped to get to know good companies and what to study and project selection etc.

Exam Structure

The exam was good. We had enough time for preparing exams. We had made a combined study by the students. Some times we request for additional coaching for some subjects.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
