Remarks

Information asymmetry can be easily observed between PGDM (DS) and BE students. Many times, important information is asymmetrically distributed in BE and DS students. Many of us were called again and again to join Development Studies track. It also happened that after joining DS course, many students opted to take up BE again. If you are inclined towards social work, join DS, otherwise don’t, you will suffer.

Entrance Preview

There are 3 exams to pass: 1) CAT 2) Objective type entrance for Business Entrepreneurship track 3) Interview

Internships Opportunities

We had to find an internship on our own. Remember, you are doing this course to become a business owner, not to take up a high paying job.

Placement Experience

3

If you want to be an entrepreneur, then do join this college. Its got good courses and also it will change your mindset and the way you look at your surrounding. However, if you are looking for placement, it is not the college you are looking for. Its for business people only. Mostly, even if placements take place, the packages offered are rarely above 4.5 lakhs p.a.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, we can get scholarship as economical support from college or various banks, organizations in BE and DS too. I don’t know much about the Development Studies (DS) track but, yes in BE, Its easy.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are available separately for both boys and girls and they have good living conditions. The college has a combined canteen and mess and the quality of the food available there is substandard. Students don’t prefer to eat in the mess and usually opt for private tiffin services or cook their own food.

Exam Structure

The college follows a trimester pattern of exams.

Faculty

3

Few of the visiting faculty members are highly qualified but some of them adopt poor teaching methods. Some professors take the classes only at the end and finish a subject in just two days which creates a lot of problems for the students as students have to attempt exams for the same.

As I'm going to start my internship and till now within 10 days more than 150 companies has came to NBS for providing internships.
