Remarks

Firstly I completed the JELET exam after then I got a chance to admit to the NSHM KNOWLEDGE CAMPUS OF DURGAPUR in civil engineering. Respected faculties arrange an interview for all interested candidates who were want to admit here after then we got selected.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here faculty members are too cooperative and supportive of us. They talk about extra classes as per our request or requirement. They arrange a weekly class test to improve our knowledge and confidence to face examinations. they are also very well qualified and master of their subjects.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 169000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Here Larson and Toubro, ultratech, pinnacle, simplex, and many other big companies offer internship to NSHM KNOWLEDGE CAMPUS OF DURGAPUR's students. In this internship, we got monthly 6000-9000rs. stipend.

Placement Experience

Placement in my college is around 95%. Here so many companies are attached to our college for example - Larson and Toubro, ultratech, pinnacle, simplex, etc. Before facing any placement meeting we offered training sessions for good performance in placement meetings.

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual fee structure for civil engineering is around 190000 rs. but I got an Asha Jyoti scholarship and my fee after discount is around 160000rs. Campusing in my college was 95% which is very good but in a pandemic situation, it was a little bit falls down. And now it recovers.

Campus Life

This college-wide campus is here for playing grounds, library, cafeteria, canteen, classrooms, laboratories, etc. I get every book which I actually want in this library. So, my campus is sufficient for me. there are many different extracurricular activities also for the students.

Interview Experience

Yes. We have to face a test-like an interview at the time of admission. It was a question-answer session of around 15-20 minutes. Another criterion for admission was, that we have a good JELET rank. This was our admission process.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
