Remarks

The admission process is smooth. Assigned specific mentors to look after the issues. Admission is based on cut-off. Every department has a certain cutoff. +5 for cbse board students. Out of Tamilnadu become non-local and difficult to get in

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum has become better after the institution has become autonomous. Preference is given for projects and internships over academics. Faculty depends on the department. The staff is well trained and expected disciplined. Strictly adhere to rules. Usually well prepared. Exams are conducted often and checking with feedback is given after 3 days. Electronics staff are strict but well trained and knowledgeable but do not encourage doubts. Every class has 40 students and attention is given to every student as mentors are also available

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee is reasonable. Scholarships are provided for students with lesser than 7lakhs annual income. Other scholarships like the first graduate. Also on scoring more than 9cgpa 10,000 reductions on the fee. More than 8.5cgpa get 5,000 and so on every year during the end of even semesters.

Campus Life

Annual culture is celebrated really well. It's done in the biggest auditorium in Chennai. The Leo Muthu indoor stadium. Famous personalities are called and a lot is there. Cultural are usually held in the month of March. A lot of clubs are present but not very active. Books are provided every year for the curriculum. Book fees are mandatory. Classrooms are well ventilated and neat most of the time. With projectors. Sports are encouraged and inter-department competitions happen as well as his college team that also participates outside.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

The number of colleges i applied are not that many but i still applied for few ones .like i applied for REC,SSN,VIT,CEG.the reason i chose this one affordability amongst all. No i didn't get an rejection from other college .i didnt join them with my own decision. I applied through tnea counselling. I had a cutoff of 189.5/200 and I applied for top colleges like CEG,MIT,SSN. I know I won't get seat in those colleges as my cutoff is not upto that level. Then I preferred for REC, CIT AND then SEC. My primary need is cse course. Even though I got seat in REC in ECE department.
