Akal College of pharmacy and technical education, mastuana sahib (Sangrur) is a famous college of Punjab. The admission process is done by 5000 and Rs3000 security charges and further fee 60000/year. I was not given any entrance exam for admission. There are direct admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was interested in medicines. The student ratio of this college is about 240. There are two MST exams conducted in the college. The assessment of students is done from those exams. There are about 20 faculty members
Internships Opportunities
In last semester, students are given internships and sent to a lot of different companies or jobs depending on their preferences and interest. There are given to provide students with experience and some real-life applications of what they have learned in these past few years. The top recruiting companies of our college are Sun Pharma, Divya Pharmacy, etc with a packaging range from 1.5 lac to 2 lac. It also depends on your skills and knowledge.
Placement Experience
The final or last year student got good placements in good companies. They have packages of near about 1.5 lac/ year. The percentage which is required for taking placement is above 60%. My plan after getting a degree is to start my own business in medicines.
Fees and Financial Aid
The students which are belongs to poor families. Those students are helped by giving scholarships. The following scholarships can be fill a student. 1. Sarbat Da Bhala scholarship. 2. National Scholarship
Campus Life
There are 240+ students are studying in this college. There have been very disciplined on campus. The students are very sincere. No one can go out without the permission of the teaching staff. The occasions and parties are also celebrated on the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is very good and disciplined. There are 17 rooms are there present. The hostels for girls and boys are separated by about an area of 800 metres. In each room, there are three students are staying. The mess is also present in the hostel. The fee for mess is Rs.1800/month. The playground and gym are also present in the hostel.
