Entrance Preview

I just recently passed out from OPJS University. To get admission in OPJS University in M. A I did not give any Entrance Examination. My Subject in Graduation was English.So I did my Post Graduation in English as well.I got the seat on the basis of my Graduation marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of my English course includes 2 years. The first year called Previous and Second year called Final.In the Previous Year there are FOUR papers and in the Final Year, there are FIVE Papers. The whole curriculum of M. A in English is very vast.

College Events

Events such as Freshers social and cultural events are very popular and enjoyable in our University. Our Department of English also organises some events like seminars, interaction programmes of Students with some experts in English Literature etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think fees are expensive in this University to compare to others. Per year fees are 16000. And before the exam, the fees they charged is 10000.Other than that there are Registration fees of 1200

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility is available in Higher courses like M. Phil and PHD. From Graduate to Post Graduate courses scholarship facility is not introduced.But Students who clear NET/ SLET will get 20% scholarship from the University.

Exam Structure

In our M.A Course, exam structure is divided into the class test, sessional exam, seminars and yearly exam. Students must attend all these exams and seminars otherwise they will exempt from their yearly exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The entire course was divided into 9 subjects. The previous year that is the first year had 4 subjects which were more of a basic understanding which included micro, macro economics and the final year had 5 subjects. The entire Economics curriculum was carefully subjugated into parts so that students can access them easily and increase their knowledge base and information about the subject. the examination was also based upon the need and fact that requires in depth understanding of the topic. Apart from this, the examination was conducted in a timely manner and the level of paper was also moderate to difficult. The marking scheme was also as per the official scheme prescribed by the university making the entire process smooth and student friendly. I personally chose this course due to the fact that I had great amount of interest towards economy and it's functioning since class 12th. So it becomes more lucrative for me to complete my higher education in it.

The admission was based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam that is the graduation. The main reason for opting for OPJS University was its high placement rate. About 80% percentage students of the previous batch got placed during the on-campus recruitment.
