OPJS University : A Review

The admission was based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam that is the graduation. The main reason for opting for OPJS University was its high placement rate. About 80% percentage students of the previous batch got placed during the on-campus recruitment. The institution despite being quite new, has gained a name for itself, by providing high quality education. The education here is quite affordable. The university only charges about 1 lakh, which is very cheap when compared to other colleges.

Management course spans 4 semesters and each semester a student is subjected with 7 papers. In the first year, the 7 papers are all majors, however in the last year; there are 5 major papers with 2 minor papers. The courses are very in depth and goes on to provide a complete outlook into the subject. The faculties are all selected based on the UGC norms, and are all well qualified. Exams are conducted timely, with proper schedule. There are minor, internal tests, followed by semester exams. Also students are also expected to complete projects as part of the course.

Summer internships are offered by the university, and the performance in this is considered for the semester exams. The students are supposed to submit a report on the activities and the performance. This internship helps in improving the practical knowledge and hands on experience. Moreover, the university also allows industrial visits which are another important part for gaining practical knowledge.

The university offers great placement packages. The major recruiters that visit our campus include HCL, Vodaphone, Aditya Birla Group among others. About 80% of students from the previous batch got placed through campus placement. The university has a highly active campus placement cell; they connect students with the recruiters and help them get placed. The highest package offered last year was around 8 lakhs per annum. And the average package was about 4 lakhs.

The fee for each semester comes around 27000. And together for four semesters it comes at around 1 lakh rupees. This is very nominal when compared to other institution. And at this fees, the institution offers great quality education. The institution also offers scholarship to 10 students who score the highest marks in the qualifying examination. Along with that 10 students who get the highest marks in each semester are also awarded scholarships of 10,000 rupees.

OPJS University spans across 32 acres and is surrounded by the beautiful Aravali Hills. Our institution has well developed infrastructure that are of international standards. The library facilities are unparalleled. They provide more than a hundred thousand books. The campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled, and the classes are all smart classes. Our university also provided top sports facilities. And students are encouraged to take up some kind of outdoor sports. They provide intense training, large playground and facilities of international standards.

My university provides individual rooms with attached bathrooms. And each hostel has its own separate mess facilities. The hostels are also with facilities like high speed, Wi-Fi, gym, medical center. Students can opt for hostel accommodation during the time of admission. The mess food can be quite average. However worth the money spent.
