Remarks

I got entered this college through Anna University counselling only, with 92% in 12th standard. If you are not having a high percentage of marks, then plan for the management quota then they will charge a few lakh based on the course selection for admission. The application form details can be avail on the college website itself. I recommend you to directly visit our college check the infrastructure and do admission

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen E&I since it is a combination of EEE and ECE courses. The faculties in this department are too friendly and will guide us to get high marks as well as motivate us to participate in intercollege completion, mini projects and so on. The faculties are mostly M.E graduates only. In terms of exams, they will conduct internal exams, if we are getting low marks, then they will conduct a re-exam post-college hr. 3 pm. And if we again get low marks then they will conduct special classes also. So there is no possibility for students to get failed in any subject

Placement Experience

3.5

During 7 semesterss, our placement will get started. They will collect some amount and conduct placement training on weekly basis, motivational classes also are included. Avg package of about 2 lakh per annum will be there, mostly high mark scoring students will be placed for sure. About 40% of students will be placed. The most promising companies for that placement would be Wipro, Infosys, mind tree, MRF, VEE technology, and so on

Fees and Financial Aid

I had my first graduate scholarship which reduced my fees by about 20000. Since it is a Christian minority college, there will be more concessions for them, they might need to pay an overall 40000 only And there will be scholarships for SC-ST students that will reduce costs and annual fees for them would be around 80000 only

Campus Life

5

Our college will conduct cultural for about 5 days, which would be both techs as well as entertainment mixed, but they will collect the amount from students for the same And our college will not provide any own books, we should get books from the library only for each semester and we should submit the same once the semester ends, else we need to pay fine. If we lost the book, then we need to pay the cost of the book plus a fine, else purchase a new book and handed over to the librarian. Our college has a sports quota also, there will be no fees for the students who are under the sports quota. We have been in IEEE CLUB, ROTARACT CLUB, and so on

Hostel Facilities

5

Our hostel is the best thing in our college life. Each room has 5 courts with beds and two large-size shelves and 5 lockers and 2 large size bathrooms with attached western toilets and washbasin. More spacious one with huge balcony and RO Facilities And our hostel food would be the best one ,each days they have special menu, except Friday we will have non-veg every day, their chicken gravy, fried rice, Manchurians are top-notch. The hostels will be within walkable distance from college only, inside college only they are having hostels

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

ECE is a core subject in the upcoming technologies like the semiconductor field etc. which is why I chose this branch. VIT has a lot of labs and equipment that enables a person to learn and grasp practical knowledge faster. The teaching methods include using a PPT and using a white board . Sometimes flip classes are done when students explain topics. The 2nd open book test is the toughest in difficulty level when compared to exam 1 and the final test.
