Entrance Preview

I chose this college as its in my hometown and best among other in private colleges. I got this college easily with my UPSEE rank. I was fascinated towards Computer Science as my peers went for it and that it had better scope compared to other branches. Most of the people I asked suggested me Computer Science.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is huge and redundant. Only hierarchies of hierarchies that gives more information not knowledge. UPTU syllabus should be limited and more intuitive with focus on practicals. Hardly we are able to cover the whole course in a sem. Faculy is just okay with most of the lecturers from local and inexperienced. Some recently passed out post-graduates.

Placement Experience

1.5

This college has given few good placements only when the college was new. Some small-scale companies/BPO/KPO recruit here on a minimal package. But honestly, I don't think that students expect a placement here.

College Events

3

They are just as it is a custom to be followed each year. Fests are pathetic, the only thing that we enjoy is our friendship and nothing to be thankful of this organization. They organize fresher's party and fancy competition. I participated in Ramp-walk once and was somewhat catchy.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are not provided individually by any private UPTU College as far as I know. Scholarships are as per UPTU norms, rank and class-wise.

Campus Life

2

College campus is neither too big, nor too small. It has all the needful assets. 80% students are from the same city and rest from nearby cities and towns.Sports inlcudes Bat-Minton, Football, table-tennis etc. Extra-Curricular activities include Rangoli, singing competition and Robotics for interested ones.We were recently taken on tour to Nainital.

Alumni/Alumna

Network' is the essence of any engineering college. Any student who gets enrolled here gets a node in the network. Senior students are friendly and the culture is purely homogeneous as we all hail from nearby places and there is no diversity. This is the advantage here. Anti-Ragging committee is active and ensure ragging-free campus.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is also not good, neither fixed like CBSE. They can change the model anytime. The question paper is lengthy enough and can ask two big questions from the same topic and the options are also useless. The question paper lacks standard. Moreover I don't u'stand the concept of 3 sessional exams back to back in each month of semester with a test on Monday and Saturday. Its such hectic that whole of the semester passes in next test's preparation.

Placement Experience:

Government organizations like Cisr and Syneos Health are major conglomerate where we are placed. Still with lesser students we are not places that high and it's a shame because such a great university but still placements are in a way less as other branches have. 4-5 lakhs is what offered to Biotechnology students of IILM.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd and 4th year are eligible for placements. More than 150 companies offered 750+ Jobs. Almost 70% of the students in my branch has been placed. Highest package offered was 9PLA and the lowest was 3LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, PTC, Cleartrip, Jinko Contraction, GENX Consultancy Services, Airtel, CIty Union Bank, Emerson, Asix Bank and many more. Some of the students have taken the placement and some of them were invited to internship from 20k stipend to 40k stipend. If the student doesn't get college placement, he need to apply off campus for jobs. I will try to join a good job or start my own startup idea.
